"/"QFT Maraccuda, another casualty of the modern gaming industry.

How?

It's just a restructuring process by their parent company.

Im just pulling this out of my ass but I can assume the Neversoft was once a prosperous full team and now is a shell of its former self, whoever is left in Neversoft was moved over to IW, but I doubt it is a full team at this point.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Another sacrificial offering to the dark gods of COD. They never really recaptured the TH hype from the ps1 days so I can't say it's the biggest loss.

4 studios working on one franchise......

Looks like they were soft after all....

Some great memories from them, though. Bought every Tony Hawk ever until after Project 8. Circle of life, bro. Circle of life.

Eh.. I can't say that I'm going to miss them, because I was never a huge fan of the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games... :-/

Tony Hawk Underground 2 was one of my all-time favorite PS2 games. So many great memories.

Welp, so long.

Obviously it was prosperous when their games were selling well. That's not exclusive to the gaming industry and certainly not exclusive to the modern gaming industry.

They made Tony Hawk games which were awesome back then, but also their latest, Proving Ground, which failed by Activion's standards (rightfully so).
Unfortunately (IMO) they didn't get another try after the debacle involving Ride and Shred.

Then they made Guitar Hero games which simply became irrelevant after a few years.

The studio belongs to Activision so they can do with it whatever they please. They could merge all of their studios into one and that still wouldn't mean that there is any workforce or potential games lost. Perhaps we will see another Tony Hawk game by Infinity Ward in the future.

They did a good job with the Tony Hawk games, I remember playing Underground and pro Skater 3 with my bro, ohh the memories!

Why did no one purchased them?
