Here are some screens from Infamous Second Son's photo mode. This game is actually released and still is more impressive than any released game on consoles I've seen.

Not sure what the implications are, because Uncharted and Driveclub look nice they will play like molasse? I would argue to the contrary, many of the best playing games across all time were also considered the best looking games of their time: - Super Marion Bros 3 - Sonic the Hedgehog - Grand tourismo - Doom (on PC) - Quake (on PC) - Tekken 2 (PSX) - Soul Calibur (Dreamcast) - Whatever version of Grand Turismo was on PS2 and Forza on the og xbox - Any Halo game upon release - Gears of War - God of War 1, 2 and 3 - Uncharted 2 etc. Good teams make games that play and look great, this is what budgets are for... obviously one does not guarantee the other, but implying that good graphics somehow lessen the playing experience is just plain ignorance. |
My statement completely flew over your head. If the game looks bad, but has good gameplay it's pretty crappy. If the game looks good and has bad gameplay it's also crappy. My example isn't mutually exclusive to one thing. Aestetic and gameplay need to mesh for a proper and complete experience. Minecraft is a great example of this, it's has the best of both worlds. Tomb Raider is another example. The list you gave me is games you examples of what I explain. Good teams don't always make good games, might I remind you of Sonic 06?

Thus far this gen most games look like last gen with better lighting effects. I like the clouds and road water on driveclub.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I have yet to see full gameplay that makes me think ''on another level''

Maybe compared to last generation but that doesn't mean it's competitor will end up being far off ...

For 4 times less cash and on a whole new architecture though

I agree.
Now, can we agree that PS4 graphics don´t make a game fun?

I came in here to say i agree with you and how no PC gamer would agree with you then saw this post :)
The problem with PC gamers when it comes to graphics, is that they don't really look at overall good looking IQ. The look at specs of the system.
Even if Uncharted 4, Infamous, The order or Driveclub were all the absolute best looking games on the planet in their respective genres A PC gamer would look at them and dismiss how good they look (even if they can't put up similar shots of a game like them on PC running in realtime that looks better) all because the are thinking of one thing; "This is running on a console whose GPU is half as powerful as mine". And that right there is their problem, since they know that that game on the PS4 could run better if made to match the specs in their rig they would just dismiss whatever we get with the PS4.
Its like me saying Sunset overdrive looks like ass because I know if it was made for the PS4 it would look/run better even if there isn't one game on the PS4 that looks like it with that kinda art style. Or saying that zelda U game looks like crap...etc.
Disclaimer: Not all PC gamers are like that. Just the ones like the quoted poster.
