It isn't worth it. Tomb Raider wasn't worth $60 and GTA V won't be worth that much either. I'd only pay $20 for any of those games.

Assuming that you're a WiiU owner and assuming that you aquired Wind Waker (the odds are about 1 to 6), what made you then, if it's your case, buying it? And the game is nerver bellow $40 right now. I also assume it was about $50 when it came out, but fans still got it and it is still selling despite the price being consistently above the mid-price mark. What excuse can you give about this?

I got Wind Waker for free with MK8.

That still doesn't explain it how a million people that buy it. I think it's because they either 1. Didn't play it before / 2. Wanted to replay an upgraded version. All valid reasons. And the same reasons why people are free to buy TLOUR.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

If it's superior in every way and will be available to a new audience then why not? I like definitive editions and this is as definitive as this game will get.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

3. It was a great game at the time and belong to any person with a nintendo console collection... the same applies to TLOUR as well.

Let's forger GTA and TR for a moment. How come nobody is bitching about porting Metro 2033 or Payday 2?

And as was already mentioned, there were dozens of GOTY versions last-gen, usually within a year of release, and most people were actually happy about it.

Only because of all these TLOUR haters, I so wish that the game sells two million copies. I know it won't, but it sure would be fun to read the forums...

Metro 2033 was never on the PS3 and is being remade using Last Light's graphics engine.  Plus you're also getting Last Light.

Yes, but it was on X360 and is still getting remade for XOne. And on XOne it probably won't be 1080p/60fps.

So what's the point of that port?

Seems you missed a bit of what I said.  Metro 2033 is being remade using Last Light's graphichs engine and it also includes Last Light.  What's the point in Final Fantasy Origins when there's the NES version.  It's got a graphics upgrade that isn't very minor.

Besides, not being on the PS3, they'll make more money porting it over to both consoles.  Why port it to just the PS4 when you've got the assets to make the transition over to the Xbox One?

Oh, I've seen the sig of that user.

And if we got something like this, that'd be so freaking awesome:

I still think there is some truth in this picture, regardless of what the artist says. Ellie would have to keep her infection a secret and eventually it would isolate her from the group. She is then likely to want to head out on her own, especially because of the lie and the fact Joel will be much older.

I can imagine a scene like that being the first scene of the game and when the guards appear out of the gloom, we get a flashback to why she left and under what circumstance.

Do you want TLOU2 to be a music game??? To kill all the enemies with the power of your gig?? You can have that with "Rock of the Dead" on PS3 altough not with the same great graphic /jk... Ellie is a strong girl, she would be an stronger character than Lara Croft when Teenager, she have meet true horror in her childhood more than even Lara had.

Of course man, Singstar: Infected Edition, I'd buy that shit a dozen times.

No but seriously, a TLOU game with a grown up Ellie as the protagonist (Even if ND said that the story of Joel/Ellie is done)? I'd be totally down for that.

Add some new enemy types (maybe infected animals/or a new level of infection), weapons, characters and places (maybe, I don't know how, take her to europe somehow ) and I'll be happy.

Many PS4 owners weren't PS3 owners. The game is a gem and now new players to the Playstation brand can enjoy it. I think that fact alone makes it worthwhile.

Sony says that a lot, but if you think based on a mathematical aproach it´s a little hard to belive its sense:

1: We have 80mi PS3 vs 8mi PS4.

2: TLOU sould more than 6mi on the PS3.

3: Sony once said that 1/3 of PS4 owners didn´t have a PS3.

So, right now there is about 2,5mi PS4 players that didn´t have the oportunity to play TLOU. Then using the PS3 attached rate would you say that 1/10 of PS4 owners are probally buying the Remastered version?

But then, wasn´t TLOU so good why those people didn´t buy a PS3 and enjoyed the game last year?

If VGChartz is correct the bump em hardware sales was very small last year.

Right now they are in the position to sell an extra 1milion this year and 2 or 3 milion lifetime.

And for the first few week I can bet any one that most of sales will be for games that played the original version.

PS: Why ND is so reserved in showing more of the game?

I think the reason behind all hate, which is unjustified indeed, is because this is a 1st party game with the name "remastered" in it. Had it been a 3rd party release, noone would react. I do think a game needs to be a few years older to justify the term "remastered", but those are just small details. I am quite sure this hate won't affect the sales one bit, just buy the game and enjoy it :).

Anything that works the original master to a different media or retouch the quality is a remaster since it reddo the master... actually all ports are remasters in a way even if they keep everything equal.

Yes, and by that reasoning COD on PS4 and X1 would be called COD:Remastered :).

The terms "Remastered" or "Anniversary" is used to signal a return to an older game where the graphics have been updated significantly (think Halo:Anniversary) or altered in other significant ways. Using it on a year old game, even though you are technically right, send the signal that ii is more of a cashgrab than a fan service. I believe it to be both, just like with every rerelease of a game, but using the words "remastered" hasn´t helped them one bit, especially on such a recent game.

I still find the negative reaction silly, but I can see where the perspecitive of the cashgrabbing has been emphasized when they use the word "remastered".

Don't be surprised OP. Some people are just pathetic beyond words. The people complaining forget it's a game that's coming to a system they don't own, it's sad to see them not be able to deal with it. Sad and funny at the same time.

Can't wait to see the whiny, bitchy threads and blog posts throughout this generation each and every time a GoTY Edition is revealed that is a 1-year old game with the DLC added. Those of course won't have increased performance in terms of graphics, resolution and frame rates so I REALLY expect the shit to hit the fan in the coming years.

Of course we know that won't happen though. Tomb Raider and GTA V already got a free pass. Yeah, TR & GTA V got graphical & fps bump in it's defense...

... but so does TLOUR.
