Forums - Sony - Sony is in danger of becoming arrogant? Gamezone explains...

People are too busy calling Sony arrogant that they can't hear when they apologize for their mistakes.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

I think the article writer should be very careful about how he writes these. Talking up the WiiU at the end of an article that supposed to be about Sony makes you look biased and like you wrote the article as part of an agenda. If it isn't directly related to the subject at hand (and it wasn't, it was tangential at best) then you should just leave it out and you can make another article about how everyone should get a WIiU.

Why? (almost) No-one on the internet is careful about what they write. One could even say that  stupid, overly-dramatic articles generate more money so it's better to have subpar journalists.

I don't think the company is the one who is becoming arrogant.

Exactly. Nobody is becoming arrogant.

Indeed. Exactly what I intended to say.

Oh those days were epic

I still hate how misused that statement is. Something said the first week of January whenever all consoles were still in fact, sold out.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Well the signs are allready emerging. They are still taking PR shots at MS in 2014 where as Xbox reps are largely praising Sony/Nintendo. You have the $60 cash grab LOU remastered compared to the value-rich Master Chief Collection. PS4 PS+ games are nowhere as numerous or good (lack of AAA) as PS3 PS+ games. PS Now rental prices = WTF.

I dunno, seems Sony is starting to take advanatge of winning and price gouging where they can in subtle ways.  They are lucky their fans are doing most of the heavy lifting to preserve the notion that Sony loves them unconditionally.

This is very predictable bost for a huge MS fan to make.

This dig is especially cheap:

"You have the $60 cash grab TLOU remastered compared to the value-rich Master Chief Collection."

More value rich!? I challenge that!! How much does TLOU retail for? How much does all the DLC cost? So Halo 1,2,3,4. The last two won'tbe touched up and the 1st will be the equivalent of a 360 game. So only 2 is getting the full treatment.

Still, everyone and their grandma knows that TLOU on PS4 will look much better than Halo 2 on X1.

One could argue that Halo 1,2 and 3 are showing their age so much that they will compare unfavourably with modern fps titles. Halo 4's multiplayer was widely criticized (by fans especially).

Most importantly, TLOU is one of the most acclaimed games of all time and it's just 1 year old. Hence the game (with regards to design, gameplay and principles) isn't archaic (as Halo 1, 2 and possibly 3 is).

How about we compare sales and see which game is appreciated more?

Exactly, indeed. If only everyone were as rational and tolerant as you.

Sony is far from being arrogant, they know how it can destroy them.
They are the good guy now, and they are doing a great job.

This is what is wrong with the gaming community. There are no good guys in business, they only want your money. MSFT, Sony, and Ninetendo all make products they want you to buy.

BULLSHIT.

There are people at each of those companies that take pride in their products and want the customers to be satisfied.

I really hope you aren't true_fan from N4G, because we don't have a bubble system here and then everyone will be forced to see your posts.

I agree Sony are the most arrogant

People say there is no such thing as wrong opinions.....your opinion on LOU is wrong. Preffering the game over Halo is one thing, but any rational person that compares the bullet points of what each game offers can tell you that the MCC is by far a meatier package. LOU is barely a year old.....it does scream of price gouging because game is still in recent memory. Sorry that people don't agree with your status quo.

He's saying that the Halo games are old, irrelevant and (except for 2) hardly different from what's available on older platforms.

The Master Chief Collection would have been amazing if all four games had X1 level graphics. Truth is only 1 of those games have X1 level graphics and the other 3 have 360 level graphics with nothing new.

Let me guess.

The unbiased defence would only be possible if

- Sony bundled all the PS3 exclusives remastered as a bonus to TLOU HD

- Sony gave away all AAAs that have been released on the console on PS+

- PS Now rental prices were free. Free rentals for eternity.

No, I would take TLOU over Halo any day of the week, but saying a remastered port of a year old game vs 4 games(in which one is a total remake, never before released) is up to a persons preference, is not a good argument.

Yes it is because the fact that TLOU is 1 year old actually increases its value, it doesn't diminish it. And that's being objective. TLOU is more expensive than any of the Halo games because the Halo games are older. TLOU+DLC costs as much as buying the 4 Halo games separately. Same reason why GOTY editions get released at full price. The original release is "fairly recent" and the games are still being sold at a medium-high price. Though those don't even improve the visuals (understandable because it's usually the same platform). So both releases are in a similar situation and it's up to each person to decide which one they want/like more.

Very good point.
