last time i checked xenoblade was a pretty awesome open world rpg.

Furthermore, what else is bethesda good at? What genre's do they nail in the head? Seems to me they are a one trick pony

Xenoblade was an awesome title, but not anywhere near what Skyrim was.

Well, I do think Skyrim is the better game. Xenoblade was a pretty awesome Open world  RPG - you have to get that Nintendo.

Xenoblade is awesome and I am sure X will be just as good if not better, but my point is that that in the grand scheme of things, in terms of all types of games, Nintendo is NOT the best.

I would not only love to see Nintendo make a game in the size, scope of Skyrim with the incredible amount of content, but also see them also allow their customers, the modders, to make more incredible content to give their title life 3-4 years after it has been released.I don't see Nintendo doing this.

Let Nintendo make a game as vast as Skyrim as see how little bugs they have.

Unless they can do it, don't criticize those who do as  if Nintendo can do a better job. '

That is like you sitting here saying "Yeah, they never made a game like this, ever... but they can definitely do better".

How does that ever equate? Seriously...

You think Nintendo can make a game like Skyrim? With no bugs?

I think they can make a game like Skyrim with no bugs, yes...

Theyre not in a hurry when they make a game.

You sit here and are content with THINKING they can't.

I want to SEE that they can.

Personally, I don't think they can.

Actions speak louder than just words.

The only solution, Nintendo BECOMES third party.

Nintendo is likely to be the only console maker in the not too distant future. By the end of this generation I could easily see Sony and Microsoft phasing consoles out for PC endeavors. PC gaming is becoming more and more common and with better online structures, better graphics, and more longevity, eventually people will see consoles just can't compete in power or convenience. At least nintendo has unique hardware and high powered franchises that are guaranteed to be exclusively theirs for as long as they wish to be in the console market.

"Unique" is a vague word. It is neither positive or negative, thus it doesn't really sound like an accolade. MS has Halo, Sony has uncharted, franchises just as monstrous in sales. They may not be as legendary as Nintendo's but those nintendo franchises will do little in the long run if the hardware isn't selling or you expect 85%+ attachement rate to all their AAAs. This is, of course, assuming that the Xbone and PS4 can sell about double what the Wii U does, which doesn't seem likely.

I have not noticed the rise of PC gaming in the last years to be honest.

Wow, seriously?

Ever played Skyrim?

Wind Waker isn't even close.

Close to what...?

I guess you never actually played Skyrim.

Just walking to the Throat of the World (One mountain) takes easily 30mins to an hour. Walking from one  point of the world to the other other takes hours.

Play Skyrim, and I mean SERIOUSLY, then come talk to me. The game is vast. The game is HUGE.

Nintendo has never made anything nearly as vast.

Don't limit yourself to Nintendo only. Please, don't...

In Skyrim you can get engrossed. You can find yourself immersed. You can be find yourself easily 10% into Skyrim and have spent 15 hours easy.

Playing Fallout 3 alone should tell you Nintendo has nothing even close to the scope and size of a Bethesda title.

Neither does MS or Sony. Whats your point?
