Well that's half true.
The other half is that the game is from the biggest game franchise of history and was very hyped.
And it's actually very well builded, it's a good and fun game, that just get better if you play with your friends.

You can't be serious.

Mario isnt the biggest franchise now...?

I think he was talking about MK.

Well its still part of the Mario franchise though:)

Anyway, Im not going to deny that the WiiU has had some horrible droughts and will probably have several more, but if you own another console to go along with the WiiU then you should be fine. The WiiU is worth owning because of games like MK8.

Around the Network

No, WiiU owners would have bought the game either way, because it simply is an awesome game, with graphics and gamestyle that I really like.

The same for most Nintendo games.

Oh yes, 12mil people were starved for 3ds games they had to buy Pokemon XY. Good try though as many examples fail your statement.

3DS doesn't have many games.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ? Well im done here >_>

*Looks at Maro Kart Wii sales*

No.

Or maybe it sold well because its a popular franchise, even when u take the DS/Wii versions out of the equation, the series has always sold 5-10 million.

Mario Kart has always been in the top 5 selling software on any platform which probably means it is one of the main reasons people own Nintendo hardware.

Around the Network

No. And people said the same thing about Halo 4. The game sold well because it is very good and a popular game series.

Wii was also lacking many games.  Is what happens without third party.

The Wii released five of it's biggest franchises in the first year and a half. It wasn't lacking anything but competition.

You are right, that list invalidates our arguments from the get go so there is no discussion to be had here. This thread should be locked then.

blah blah no games Nintendo sucks blah boring blah. Nintendo WiiU has more and better games. Why just a few months sample. Just another attempt to justify the not that impressive sales of PS4 and XOne.

If PS4 and X1 sales are rather unimpressive, I wonder what you would call Wii U sales.

Nobody said that about Halo 4. X360 certainly wasn't suffering a drought of retail game releases at that time.

Its incredible how people were accusing PS4 version of Watch Dogs and Infamous: Second Son of the same despite them being great games, but are now disagreeing because the same was said about Wii U despite actual evidence of the fact.
