Every playstation console at launch = no games.

Every playstation portable console throughout lifetime = no games.

What was I playing on my PSP all those years I wonder? There must have been something that made it by far my favorite 7th gen system...

Seriously, I'll never understand such statements made about the PSP's phenomenal library.

God knows what you were playing. Weabo games??? Appart from Vice City Stories, I don't think I spent more than 20 mins on a single game.

As for PSV, well, just look at the hardware sales and there's you proof. You know your in trouble when a port of a 2 year old game is needed to spark interest. (and constant ''redesigns''.

Fixed.

This right here is correct though.  Each and every Playstation console at launch has a very limited amount of exclusives *edit* worth playing * for a good two or three years.  The PSP is the only exception, because even though it had a lot of ports, it also had a lot of third party exclusives(some of those were ports but Japanese only PC releases so still new to us.)  I state this time and time again, but Sony's got this complacent attitude in which they feel everyone is going to just support them, publisher and gamer alike.

Nintendo has no problem releasing several games at launch side by side with many 3DS games as well.  Between the amount of titles moneyhatted and Nintendo's own releases there's 19 Wii U titles released in the first 1.11 years.  Compare that to the PS4 which will have six exclusives by the end of 1.11 years.  If Sony doesn't want people to complain about them having no games, they need to either have a reasonable amount of exclusives the first year(I'd say atleast 10 or more,) and if they can't do that, do what other publishers do and pay for third parties to develop a few exclusives.

But that is what exactly happens... I cant think of a single PS3 game that went undernoticed, even Beyond and Allstars went on to do fair enough business. If anything, I expect Sony to produce exclusive after exclusive with all the fans and first party support they have accumulated over three whole generations.

Well people are entitled to make any kind of statements they want no matter how ridiculous they sound/are. So I can say that the ps3 never got any games, that the 360 was 10x better, that nintendo handhelds never had any good games and that Ninty has made only one good home console game since the 90's. Why? Cuz I can. Freedom of speech means that everyone can say what they believe and all you can do is have discussions with people you think are worth discussing. If you see an object as white and someone tells you is black, their is no point arguing. If they say it's gray, then maybe.

You seem to fail to grasp the concept of objective and subjective standards. The PSP had hundreds of critically acclaimed titles therefore you can subjectively say that you do not like the PSP's library but you can not objectively state that the PSP never recieved any quality games because it is simply an indefensible statement. To put it into simpler terms, you can claim that the PSP is light grey but you absolutely cannot claim that it is snow white.

You are the one who failed to grasp the concept of my post. Whether there are critically acclaimed games for a system or not, anyone can say "but it has no games". "What do you mean by no games", you may ask. "No games that interest me". With this excuse you can make any claim you want. Do you get it now?

Warhawk, MGS4, Uncharted, SOCOM, GTA4, and Killzone 2 were all games that I really enjoyed last gen.

This just gets more asinine. What's with the militant ignorance against the PSP? Last time I checked the PSP had plenty of Western developed games. For your information "Weabo" titles account for a tiny fraction of my PSP collection.

Edit: Also, I'd like to know where you saw me defend the Vita as I made no mention of it.

I mean, lots of good quality games are coming out this fall.

You are clearly the individual having difficulty understanding. I challenged the statement that the PSP has no games because objectively we can see that there are plenty of games available for it. Therefore I have grounds to state otherwise. The aforementioned user didn't state that they didn't like the PSP, they simply stated that:

"Every playstation portable console throughout lifetime = no games."

No qualifiers, no reasoning, nothing. This statement is indefensible because plenty of games, Western or Japanese, original and unique were released for the PSP throughout its lifetime and just because a user somehow has a preference against hundreds of titles doesn't mean that they suddenly don't exist. You can claim that it was inferior to the DS but you simply can not claim that there was nothing available for it, understand? You can not defend such an absolute, black and white statement that the PSP never receieved any quality games because it simply isn't true.

As a Vita owner and fan of Sony/all things Playstation I can safely say the the Vita indeed has zero games worth playing.
