Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft is really messing around with the ultra upgrade in Killer Instinct

Steam summer sale should be all year.

The upgrade option at $20 should always be there if they are goingt offer a version of the game at half price. It shouldn't be considered a deal. Then again...this is Microsoft we're talking about. Deals aren't their strongsuit. They have to be compelled to do it. There should always be an option for the consumer to upgrade and anything around that is just completely toying with the consumer.

So what you are saying is that if someone is going to offer something at a sale price that should then be the normal price?

No. I am saying the option to upgrade with a legitimate price should be available. The game costs $40. They give you an option to buy the game at $20 with all of the characters and no extras. There should be an option to upgrade to the extras without paying the full price of the game. Does this make any sense to you?

Steams summer sale has nothing to do with this, even with sarcasm it still has nothing to do with it.

Are the extras not available as separate DLC on their own?  Do you need to purchase the full game in order to get them?  I ask because I genuinely don't know.

The dlc come as extras and I gave you their individual pricing already. With the extra $20 I could have all of the extras and I would've finally paid off the legitimate price of the game.

Alternate costume packs are $2.99 and Retro KI costume packs are $3.99. All the extras and KI music and stuff are in the full version of the game. They even get a copy of the original KI game.

Oh, then you just happened to miss a deal and are upset about it.  Gotcha.  And here I thought it might've been something like you paid half of the price with intention of paying the other half later - and they agreed to give you some kind of timeframe for that in a clear understanding - but they took that off the table on you or something.

Yeah, the took it off the table, there should be an upgrade option for those who already purchased the combo breaker pack.

You're trying to tell a company how low they should keep their prices. It was apparently known that it was just a limited offer. Your ignorance of it doesn't make MS a worse company.
