Microsoft is really messing around with the ultra upgrade in Killer Instinct

No. I am saying the option to upgrade with a legitimate price should be available. The game costs $40. They give you an option to buy the game at $20 with all of the characters and no extras. There should be an option to upgrade to the extras without paying the full price of the game. Does this make any sense to you?

Are the extras not available as separate DLC on their own?  Do you need to purchase the full game in order to get them?  I ask because I genuinely don't know.
