Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft is really messing around with the ultra upgrade in Killer Instinct

Why not? It makes sense instead of having to dish out $40, I'm pretty sure they said they were going to add an upgrade option in. Pretty stupid that it was a limited time thing.

The dlc come as extras and I gave you their individual pricing already. With the extra $20 I could have all of the extras and I would've finally paid off the legitimate price of the game.

Alternate costume packs are $2.99 and Retro KI costume packs are $3.99. All the extras and KI music and stuff are in the full version of the game. They even get a copy of the original KI game.

Oh, then you just happened to miss a deal and are upset about it.  Gotcha.  And here I thought it might've been something like you paid half of the price with intention of paying the other half later - and they agreed to give you some kind of timeframe for that in a clear understanding - but they took that off the table on you or something.

Yeah, the took it off the table, there should be an upgrade option for those who already purchased the combo breaker pack.

Should be? Why?

Because they advertised it as a pay to upgrade type of free to play game with multiple options. The options were in tiers, so there should be another tier.

Is he saying that he would end up paying $60 for the game? Season 1?

Finally, someone who is actually thinking about it. I bought Watchdogs instead of buying the upgrade.

If I paid them for the normal upgrade price, then yes I would've paid $60 in all. The games full price is $40 though.

For the Ultra pack without the upgrade feature, yes. Unless he tries what I suggested and try calling customer support, I've heard some reports of them giving people refunds to upgrade.

Yeah it was must have for me from when i first saw it. I paid $40. Although i dont play the old game at all. So if i would have wanted the basic it would have been 20 if i wanted to upgrade there is no way i could get the Ultra without paying $40 which =60 total right?

Ok yea try this. I did not know it was a limited time offer. It isn't retail at all is it?

Yep. Microsoft makes you pay the full initial price even though you paid for the Combo-breaker pack. They considered it to be a deal to drop the upgrade price to $20 which is utterly ridiculous.
