Should've just went with numbers or a different name.

Wii 2 would've been fine.
NES would've been fine.
Nintendo Stream would've been fine.
Even Nintendo Cafe would've been a better name.

Wii U is a dumb name reguardless of it being confusing or not. There's nothing "cool" or "funny" or "smart" about it. Just...lame honestly.

Um I hope I am not the only one to notice the glaring contradiction here.

A few months ago I was at a Sam's Club that had their Wii U games labelled as Wii games.

LOGICALLY a 3 year old should be able to know the difference..............

Fixed Nintendo made a massive blunder with naming the console. Their bread and butter where the casuals last gen, the only group that does not know what a console generation is. Both Sony and MS make it clear with their naming that its all about a new console. Nintendo added a "U" to the end.

What where they thinking?

$79 for 3d world? is that even allowed?

Even when people are stupid enough to do this, it doesn't stop it from selling well after a great launch of Mario Kart 8. Problem I find is that people don't seem to be arsed to research these days. It's a shop if you want to sell stuff then atleast know what your selling. So many things Nintendo has done to make it clear. I don't see people getting mixed up with 3DS after DS do ya?
