As someone else said, because US and UK is where they can "less afford to lose sales". Think about it. A lost sale in US and UK can easily turn into a XB1 purchase (or wii u..). A lost sale in Europe will largely result in just a lost sale, and nothing gained for the competition.

Seems this applies to the larger countries..or, the central ones. Like Germany, Netherlands, etc. Not sure if France is one of them or not.

If US/UK are understocked, you might lose a sale to the XBox One.

If the rest of Europe is understocked, you are most likely just delaying a sale, not losing it.

Yeah, that doesn´t make sense at all, since the PS4 is in good supply in Europé. Also, they must have serious production problems if they cant keep up to the pretty low sales that are going on right now. I Think both MS and Sony are seeing that demand is too low too soon in this generation, despite the amazing start.

Every time I've gone into a Walmart or Target in the last 4 months, the PS4 and XBone sections have been filled to capacity with available consoles. *shrugs*

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

It's because that demand will always be there in Europe.  However they know they need to fastly outsell the X1 in America NOW so that the social effect takes off (And it already is).

Article refers to Europe not  USA. USA has had plenty of stock for several months.
