Where in Norway do you live? In Trondheim, they have stock mostly everywhere, same goes for small towns (Namsos) farther north. Here in Stockholm; they're easy to come by, even the small-ish Game store in Skrapan, a couple of hundred meters from where I live, have 8-10 units in stock most of the time.

Oh, well I suppose it is because I live in such a tiny town then. It's called Svolvær. The local electronic retailer says that they won't have enough PS4's to even cover what has been pre-order so far before after new-year. Oh well, luckily i'm ordering mine from Amazon anyway. Much cheaper.

I see, it is quite possible that smaller places get no shipments. Namsos (as mentioned) is about 10.000 or so strong and Trondheim is bound to get more shipments. But, as you say; retailers are out, online stores are the way to go!

Svolværpostei! Det var lenge siden!

And it is so much cheaper! Seriously, the white PS4+destiny bundle costs 3000 NOK on amazon (shipping included, and that is about 500 dollars for those of you who are not from Norway :D) while norwegian retailers sells the standalone PS4 for 4000 NOK (nearly 700 dollars). Quite frankly, it's ridiculuos.

A fair number of people posting have been naming countries in EUROPE.

I don't have a fancy picutre that says
"The More You Read"

yea, I know.  I was referring to the posts that assume Europe = America...

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

Ha ha! In your face, Europe.

Is it just me, or has the overall intellectual aptitude and quality of posts severely dropped on VGChartz lately? There seems to be an alarming amount of posters coming into threads and posting ignorant comments in the last couple of weeks. What the hell is happening guys? Do people really have trouble understanding simple sentences, or are they just literally reading the title of threads and typing the first thing that comes to mind? VGChartz is collectively devolving into IGN and Gamefaqs forums.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

@bold Wait! Are you supposed to read all of it?

Perhaps it's the people mocking folks talking about their local stock situations that need a lesson in comprehension? Ever consider that the people mentioning these things are simply commenting/summarizing that there isn't a supply problem and rather there's just a poor distribution and dispersion strategy on Sony's behalf?

It's not neccesarily Sony's fault that the PS4 is poorly distributed and dispersed, it might also partially be the retailers fault.

Sure, it might partially be retailers fault, but to lump everyone commenting about their regional stock situation as a group of brainless morons that can't read is unfair and disingenous. The several posts hinting at that is what I'm taking offense with.

If that was your point then I completely agree with you, I just wanted to point out that it's not neccesarily Sony's fault the the distribution is a bit crappy
