Do you really think a million fans would buy a Wii U just for Bayonetta 2? I doubt less than a quarter of them even what or would buy a Wii U for Bayonetta 2. I hardly call it a system seller. How many games that sold poorly as Bayonetta 2 sold consoles? Why do you even care so much? Everything is stacked against Bayonetta 2 but for some reason you care so much to say otherwise. Good luck on those sales.

If you're talking to me, at least indicate it (best way is to click the "quote" button").  Also, no one said that a million fans will buy a Wii U just for Bayonetta 2.  We're not talking hardware, we're talking software.  And you really can't know how many of them bought a Wii U for Bayonetta 2 because people have already started buying a Wii U for Bayonetta 2 early on.

I'm not sure if you fully understand the situation if you believe that "everything is stacked against Bayonetta 2."   That would be true if the game suddenly became multiplat and got delayed like Rayman Legends did.  And Bayonetta did not sell poorly.  It sold over 1m, which is profitable for the vast majority of games.

The first bayonetta sold over 2 millions.

If this game sells more than 500k I'd be shocked.

Prepare to receive a high voltage.

Seriously?  It's a niche IP on a console where games without "Mario" in the title have serious problems selling.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

if it sold 2 million when it was a new ip, it isn't niche. and the bolded is simply not true.

The first bayonetta sold over 2 millions.

Barely 2 million across both the PS3 and 360.

2 million worldwide lifetime out of a total install base of over 160 million is pretty niche.  If we apply that same exact attach ratio to the  current install base of the Wii U, it means Bayonetta 2 would sell about 79k copies.  And the gamers who make up Bayonetta's primary audience are mainly Xbox / PlayStation gamers on top of that, so there's no guarantee that Wii U owners are going to show much love for the franchise even if the console picks up steam from MK8 and SSB.

by your logic, 99% of games are super niche.

more than once, you mentioned that it sold over 1 million. isn't it more correct to say it sold over 2 million?

Metroid Prime is super niche. ;(

I didn't want to say 2m because of the fact that it's essentially 1.1m on PS3 and 0.9m on 360 according to VGC.  Even if we know for sure it sold 2m+, individually on each system it didn't.

This is incredibly specious reasoning...
