Bi-curious, gender confused hermaphrodite Link or nothing!

I'm pretty in favor of a female link if it's done the neutral way ie. if it's not some feminist or ambiguous gay agenda.

Link is reincarnated every now and then in new games, why not being reincarnated in a female. This would actually fit the character who has always been a bit effeminate as an elf.

It won't happen. Nintendo can't afford to mix that up at this time.

Technically I think it could be possible in-universe wise for a Link to be female. I don't see a problem there, from the top of my head.

However, personally, I think it would be weird. Not something that would keep me from getting the game obviously, but just be weird. I'd rather have Link stay male. For the record, I don't think the character they showed was female.

I agree 100%. That being said, I have absolutely nothing against playing a female Zelda character. I think it's just a younger male Link, though. People are just so used to older Link that they aren't used to him being like 13 in a 3D game.

Evidence suggests this character to be a different hero, and I belive it's also a woman. I'll recap quick what I've kindda gathered:

- Facial feminine features, and looks/overall body build could point for the character to be female. At some angles, many will argue (myself included) that you can see breasts at the character's chest.
- Zelda's main weapon has always been a bow. The trailer shows illuminating arrows. Zelda has delivered the powerful Arrow of Light weapon in several games. Could that mean anything at the trailer?
- The idea of a female/Zelda lead, fits in with the philosophy in which the game is based: "A clean break from past Zelda entries"
- The blue tunic being the character's main outfit could be a reference to Nayru, goddess of Wisdom, Zelda's part of the triforce.
- The character is right handed. Link has always been left handed. Skyward Sword was an exception, because of the forced motion controls. Link remains left handed in Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS and Hyrule Warriors.
- The wraps arround the character's forearms present a striking resemblance to a gerudo design, the Gerudo being an only-women tribe. This last one could just be a coincidence, but still makes me wonder.

If you ask me, I really hope it IS Zelda, because if you think about it... the only Zelda games where you get to play as her as the main character are... well, the CD-i games. I belive she deserves more than that"

EDIT: Hahaha, while I was posting this, my kid (6) walked in and asked me who is that. I told him 'girl-Link'....oh boy, was he upset with that concept, he doesn't want his favourite hero to become a girl. lol

Because girls have boobs.
