So EA showed a bit footage of Mirror's Edge. All conceptual but it looked just awesome. Probably the only thing that will cause major goosebumps for me this E3.

The reason why the little bit they were showing was so awesome is that it was practically the same as the original. My biggest fear was that EA will change the concept after the commercial failure. But it looks like an evolution instead of a revolution. The very same gameplay we all love with new slick animation and a bigger world. They also talked about revamping the story so that front should be improved as well over the original.

The biggest downer was of course that they couldn't even name a release window. Not even the year. This makes me fear that I will not see it before 2016 :(

I will try to keep up the hype as I did for the last 6 years. Already looking forward for next E3 with hopefully more definitive stuff.

I want the game too and their new combat philosophy sounds a lot better than the original. But it looks like the earliest we'll see this game is spring 2016.
Next E3 (hopefully the project will still be on) they'll probably announce a "Early 2016" window or something.

While the game looks good, the trailer was terrible and it was announced far too soon. No reason to get hyped yet...
