Nintendo said they didn't want to put DLC in their games at first and now they do, but I don't think you can blame them for that. A company has to go with the time and if that contradicts an earlier statement, let it be so. I don't see how Microsoft intentionally said to themselves "let's lie to our costumers about the XOne's kinectless future"

Oh yeah they did i was there for that meeting! They were all in large leather chairs with shadows blocking out their faces. There was scotch and cigar smoke and everyone was suspiciously stroking a cat for some reason..

Uh oh! Maybe I should take my statement back then! xP

Could not have timed this thread any better OP.

However, after Microsofts E3 show later today, i foresee nothing but obscurity for this thread. (and good riddance to it)

I think this is just too full of bias to take seriously, especially the 'tv ad' part, clearly informs about kinect then says 'starting at $399' with the standalone. Showing their lowest price product is not lying.

Systems Owned: PS1, PS2, PS3,PS4, Wii, WiiU, xbox, xbox 360, xbox one

You're a funny guy... Not only are we talking about corporation but you are about ten times more biased than I am against Sony.... People have to stop trying to put human emotions into corporations, there is no such thing period.

so no MS never lied they just had changes of strategies that made complete business sense...

but off there is a company that destroy gaming it is Sony by definition.... They transformed it into a fast food industry with their joke box calle the play station 2. This console changed an industry where you had to produce a quality product or chances where you wouldn't be able to make your next game or your next game would have to be excellent or you'd die for good... Into an industry where 70% is pure crap that morons buy and is used to finance a handful of good projects...yeah the PS2 catalogue is huge, yeah you have tons of excellent games... But never before you had a so poor ratio of true AAA versus ZZZZZZZ games.
Sony is to blame for EA, Activision bad behavior, never before could they dare abusing the customer like they do today, Sony enable that.
but beside that Sony in most mainstream consumer electronic is a plain shitty company with really poor price to quality ratio in general... Simple I hate them as a video game company just as much as you hate MS bit I'd still buy a PS4 before I'd buy any of their other crapy product...

The only company that had a class action lawsuit for console failures filed against it is Sony all of them.

In essence, this thread is more or less a struggle to come up with reasons to dislike Microsoft, because you feel obligated to dislike them.

I fixed that for you.

Well I have to disagree on some of your statements...

1: MS representatives first said they couldn't remove the DRM policy, nevertheless the did. Kinect couldn't be removed from the SKU because it's tech was completely integrated in the console, and yet we have a kinectless SKU.
You can call them business decisions, I call it lying to the consumer.

2: There was a crisis before the first PS launched in 1994:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_video_game_crash_of_1983

3: Microsoft even wanted to take that behavior to a next level with their XB One DRM policy as explained at it's first E3 presentation ( http://www.vyralize.com/2163/xbox-ones-drm-policy-clarified-and-its-just-as-bad-as-we-expected/) , which they ditched eventually.
And you can't just blame a company for the consumer-unfriendly behavior of others.

4: I think it's a descent company and their products have a descent price to quality ratio.

I understand your position, but trust isnt something I have to have to enjoy a video game. Plus, wtf would I care how they advertise? I already have an xbo and the cheaper one is without kinect, which is something they have been needing to do to compete.

Also the RROD was 6-8 years ago? 2 x360 models ago. Its time to move on OP. Plus if you were consistent you should also be mad at having to had to turn your ps1 on the side bc of a laser misalignment and sony wanting as much for the system to repair it way back in the 90s @ $250, while an RROD repair was $120 if your warranty was expired, which MS extended 3 years for those x360.

Perhaps I should have said "substantial". The Nintendo one is really farfetched.

But the one for Microsoft escaped my memory. I thought they gave in and admitted the problem before it came to the worst (they denied it initially).

Even if you said "substantial" it still wouldn't hold true. All of them had numerous "Substantial" class action lawsuits filed against them over the years. My advice, do a simple google search before you make such bold and ultimatly inaccurate claims.

No results for Nintendo. What now?

Quit being deceptive and learn how to use google. No one likes a fibber, especially an uninformed one.
