Yes, someone losing their LCD TV back in 2006 would be devastating. I would be pissed and if the wrist strap broke then I would expect Nintendo to pay for damages (not sure if they ever did). Maybe I put too much blame on user (you really have to flail the controller around more than needed to have it fly out of your hand). According to the link "NOTE: The following wrist strap replacement information applies to certain Wii video game systems and individually sold Wii Remotes purchased before December 31st, 2006." http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wiiplay.jsp So it appears they were aware of the problem by then and corrected it just after launch. Took them no more than two months to rectify the problem. Same can't be said about Microsoft's response to RROD. I will admit that you do have a case with the launch defective wrist straps. |
Agreed, I'm not trying to bash Nintendo in the slightest with anything I've said so I hope I havn't . If anything Sony and MS should try to be more like Nintendo in that area. They took care of the problem quickly, released viable solution quickly. I definitly won't say it's anywhere near as bad as MS RRod or Sony's past hardware problems. However to just say that sort of thing just happened to Sony, or just to MS is insane. Sorry again for mixing you up with that other guy. There is no excuse for that and what I said and did was a great disservice to you and was frankly unfair to you. That was my mistake, and frankly I feel bad about it, you didn't deserve it.
