No it doesn't, because that doesn't mean ALL gamers believe that themselves. Many would still prefer Halo over Uncharted, despite the prestige status of ND.

This is a very simple concept, and I seriously hope this trait isn't universally shared by your peers. Opposing opinions can and do exist.

FATALITY i am sure hes respects your opinion, some people see things in a different perspective try doing character modelling and you will understand what it means to see things differently.

1. yes, both of these are major points despite a known existance.  neither has more than a teaser and both are highly anticipated.

2. depends on what is shown i suppose.  if one trailer is leagues above another than yes but otherwise it will probably be each sides fanbase arguing that their opinion and preference is more important.   i expect both to be great though.   ...especially uncharted.  :P

Awards are still opinions. Lots of folks hate Citizen Kane, for instance, and wouldn't put it near their top 10 films list, despite widespread critical reverence.

It was a new IP last gen that sold nearly 20m copies. It's big. I don't understand the constant attempts to downplay its sales.

Google trends is great and all, but Uncharted 4 will probably sell about 70% of the lifetime sales of Halo 5. Yup, just a blip.

install base and metacritic will dictate that

Well, since they have been somewhat "outed", it will only be a big thing if we get some gameplay screens. As a franschise though, Halo eclipses Uncharted several times over so the media will focus on Halo 5 more than Uncharted 4. For fans of these series though, it´s a toss-up.

It will be the surprises that make or break the "winner" in my book.
