Hmmm they haven't announce the framerate yet. I expect some major crow eating if they announce 30 fps.

From who?

Anyone who bashed Driveclub for being 30fps then turned around and praised FH2.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Oh ok.

I think a lot of people expect this game to be 30fps... only Selnor really wanted this game to be 60fps wasn't he?

Meh, not bad, but driving game still shots are NEVER the same as in game as the games always have mega post render features on stills eg. GT5 - it looked great from stills, horrible in game graphics.

It looks pretty nice, but I am more excited for the gameplay changes!

I expect it will be 1080p/60fps, since that would make scaling the game down to the 360 a lot easier. Just pulling the performance down to 720p/30fps would cut the resource cost to 1/4.5th, so they wouldn't need to downgrade much of the game itself (which i imagine is their aim considering they've gone to the effort to develop the two versions apart).

I'd personally much prefer they went with 1080p/30fps (60fps is frankly a waist of resources in this case), but 1080p/60fps would certainly be more practical. We will have to wait and see i suppose.

No need to scale down for 360... both games are handled by different devs with different engines.

Yeah, 30 fps is likely since Horizon 1 was 30 fps with motion blur. Fortunately there is very little noticeable visual difference between 30 fps with motion blur and 60 fps in racing games (at least from what I've seen). And if you read Digital Foundry's analysis of Horizon 1, you'll find out that they managed to lower the input lag of 30 fps from 132 ms down to 100ms, and they may further improve upon that in Horizon 2 if they do go the 30 fps route. Both The Crew and Driveclub are 30 fps as well, I'm not sure if Project CARS is 30 fps or 60 fps on consoles, so it's not like 30 fps would put it at any significant disadvantage compared to it's competition this year.

Exactly... 30fps for racers isn't bad at all and if people laughted at DC for being 30fps then they're the ones missing out. For simulations I would understand but for arcade racers? No. I rather they push for content than fps and pixel perfect resolution especially if 30fps and motin blur do the trick.
