Ireland pretty much stopped playing after they made their goal. Unfortunate, but deserved result.

Thanks We're also very excited about this team, but surprisingly the expectations in general aren't sky-high (like they usually were). We're focusing on getting out of the group (for the first time ever) and after that - competing on par with Europe's best. Anything more than getting out will be seen as an extra by most, though I believe we deserve to be in the top 8.

@ NiKKoM, thanks!

By the way, who do you guys predict to win it all? I think this year it's very hard to pick the favourite, as there are many teams capable of taking it all. It's much harder than it was 4 years ago.

Yeah, so hard to say. I just can't pick a winner.

Germany, Belgium, Spain and France all have about equal chance to win. Then comes England really close. After that it's a clear gap, but Croatia, Portugal and Poland all have a decent chance to win and I can't entirely rule out Italy.

I don't believe in Belgium that much, but maybe they'll surprise me today. Also, I absolutely can't agree with England at the fifth spot, I think Poland would be a clear favorite in this matchup. To me the top tier favorites is France, Germany and Spain - obviously. After that it's Poland and Belgium as the two dark horses that can take down every other team with some luck and it won't really be a huge surprise (though I'm not convinced if Belgium actually is a team). After that there's England, Croatia and Portugal - good teams, dangerous, but I can't see them going all the way. Italy is totally unpredictable, it's hard to put a finger on that team - as usual. I can see them failing to advance out of the group stage just as well as winning the whole thing.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

Wow, seriously fuck Russia!

A Russian FA person has claimed their fans were just 'defending the honour of their country' and that '9 out of 10 football fans go to games to fight so that's normal'.

Seriously, what the fuck? If the Russians think that fighting at football games is normal and should be expected then there should be some serious questions about whether they should still be hosting the 2018 World Cup...

Ehh... It really makes me sad that people in the West either don't know or refuse to believe what Russians are really like. Yes, that's their mentality. They aren't European by any means. They are Asians, they live in a different world, have different values and for Europeans they are just as impossible to understand as Chinese or Japanese.

I know some people must be tired of me preaching this in this forum, but it's true.

I closed my computer but i think it is:

6 predicted Germany, 1 person Spain and i think 4 France.. 8 of us have Thomas Muller as top scorer with 3 others Mario Gomez

Ok, so I'm gonna be different and predict Poland (though honestly France is my favourite) and Milik as the top scorer.

I really think it's a mistake to write off Italy tbh this is a team who didn't perform well but still won the WC in 2006.

Ugh.. Belgium has great players but their coach Wilmots is such an below average coach.. Every normal coach would have played de Bruyne on 10 Lukaku as the striker and Hazard and Carracco on the wings..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

It's always interesting to debate this.

England has been impressive consistantly for over a year now, and Belgium is filled with amazing players.

Poland has the potential you speak of, but they still have to prove it until I really believe. Among betting bureaus Poland is rated much lower than England.

Giaccherini looks like is playing for Belgium.

Edit: lol

Italy 1-0 Belgium

Exactly what I was saying Italians are one of the teams with tournament mentality, you can write them off and their form may be questioned but it doesn't make them any less dangerous.
