Some of the responses in here are hilarious. Nobody is telling you guys not to buy Mario Kart because of the resolution. OP was just posting information.

mmmm, already knew that when I saw the demos awhile ago, didn't even know why people thought it was 1080p. Don't see why that would make me not buy the game, it's not like there is a Mario Kart 8 on PC that I can get my hands on(Not a fan of Sonic All Star blehbleh,) gotta play what you can get, especially when it's such a fun looking game.

It's great isn't it? Just compare the general reaction in this thread with the 1080p rumour thread

The game still looks amazing to me. The game being too ugly for some people to play because it runs at 720p makes me LMAO.

720p on WiiU isnt bad, but 720p + no aa....This is bad, jammering will be terrible :/

Quite expected honestly, though it really doesn't change the fact that it still has great art style and gameplay seems as fun as always.

But yeah, some WiiU apologists (notice I haven't used WiiU fans, let alone Nintendo fans) might want to re-examine their statements and their overall perspective of what WiiU is and what it is not.

Actually I'm trying really hard for everyone to not buy the game or a WiiU. Looks like I'm failing though :(
