Ah, so it's the part that's deliberately designed to most get people to buy the game. That's relieving!

"Visuals were nothing amazing."

Does the game look beautiful? Absolutely. Do the tracks look fun? No, that's all what I say. |
So your definition of a fun looking track is long empty depthless straightaways. Gotcha!

Are you implying I'm wrong, sir? Because, even having these mixed feelings, I'm buying the game yes or yes, so no need of of that sarcasm.
My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

What sarcasm? I only said I now understand how you could be saying such crazy things!
1. 89 on Metacritic.
2. Big hype train.
3. Will reach over 200k pre-orders in US.
No good boost would be extremely surprising.

Let's not forget that it managed to divide by zero on the COMG charts yesterday!

Now you're talking!
| spurgeonryan said: I was at the Gamestop Mario Kart 8 demo showing this weekend. The line was three 4 year old Asian kids who snuck in somehow. No idea where their parents were. After they left, I played to my hearts content. Visuals were nothing amazing. I played the Airport level and the water level. I got nothing from the anti-gravity effect. If I was able to see the rest of the track upside down then it would have been interesting. But when you go upside down, all you see is the track you are on. Speed was alright, but I felt it could have been a lot faster. F-Zero like speed is what I am thinking about. Everything else was there.
I give my demo play a 7/10. But the point of this is that there was no line. Gamestop employees did not even act like it existed. Makes me feel like it is to late. Nintendo waited too long to bring out it's big guns. Even Einsem , a member on this site, said that he was able to play over and over again. But at the Pikmin 3 demo and other E3 like demo events it was hard to get even a second play let alone three or four.
What do you all think? Too late to even matter? Only current owners will buy the game and hardly any new games will take the leap?
I have a picture of the non-line, but my phone is not sending it. Will work on it and get it sent to my email hopefully. |
Maybe I'm more easily impressed but MK8 looks gorgeous to me!
