I think gamers that rely on scores from Meta critic or any other source to validate their purchase of a game are missing out on many gaming experiences.I remember when people actually bought games because they liked them not because of reviews. Reviews help destroys games from gaining mass appeal.The new generation of gamers are victims to this trend.
All franchises degenerate over time; this is universal law. Nintendo's IPs will not stay pristine in quality forever.
It'd be nice if it finished at 90 or higher but even at 89, with zero mixed or negative reviews so far it's looking good.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
Gotta love when people complain about review scores for a game they've never played. 89 is an excellent score.
