Its not like every Kinect in the world is just gone. There's 4 million+ Kinects sold with the Kinect bundle still available for the public.

a bit surprised about this its usually a slow period now for HW sales august sept is when we saw cuts for HW last gen i knew they would cut this year but i would of never guessed it to be June

idk what the effect of this will be since its the same price as the ps4 and the ps4 has other advantages like cheaper online, multis are superior on it, HDD can be changed ect. i believe that it will just be like ps3 last gen for MS this gen they will always be playing catch up and these price cuts will only be a temporary boost. we should know for sure when we see NPDs for july - sept if PS4 can remain on top in the US for the holidays

as for all this screwing early adopter stuff consumers should know the drill by now

sony is actually screwing the late adopter ps4 came with $10 psn and a free month for netflex or something media related from launch till march PS4s now dont come with these 2 codes

180 on everything now this is unbelievable and to think people were supporting the inclusion of kinect

it makes it a better buy thats for sure but imo it will be about the games and features which i predict ps4 will pull ahead.

what part are you talking about?  The part where people paid the same price later on but got more with their system?  The part where the 60 gig model that people paid $600 for dropped to $500?   

Look, we can do this dance all day, but I'm pretty much done with it.  So I'll just say this.  I don't see how you can even debate that early adopters (of any technology) don't get screwed.  Technology improves over time.  If you jumped in on the ps3 when it first came out, then you paid double the price of people who bought it two years later.  For double the price, you got clunky looking system, that had less hard drive space, was less reliable, controllers didn't have rumble, less game library, etc. but you did get BC (although you could buy 3 ps2's with the money you saved by waiting two years).  

I could say the same thing about early adopters for the 360.  Same thing for early adopters of the iphone or ipad.  Same thing for early adopters hd tv or 3d tv's.  You pay more for inferior products by jumping in early.  Some people don't care and just want to get their hands on the technology as soon as possible.  Thats fine, I'm kind of that way, but I'm perfectly aware that I'm getting screwed in the deal.  

I just don't see how you can't see that...  Anyways, thats my two cents.  good day sir!

@Bolded:  Personally, why is that a problem.  I hope MS is in panic mode because thats probably best for us the consumer.  I hope they continue to stay in panic mode and continue to try to out do Sony so we the gamer reap the rewards.  If your competitor is doing it right then as a busines it's only smart to at least be on the same level.

As for Plus outstripping GOLD, maybe on the PS3 but on the PS4 that story isn't finished just yet.  As a service thats stable, XBL still have the edge in my book.  If free games become comparable between the 2 systems then the little things will stand out more.

Smart move, I like kinect but I only use it for voice command. There should have been a kinect and a kinect less bundle from the start. Not everyone wants kinect. 80 million xbox 360 owners and less than 20 had kinect. Only 1/4 360 owners wanted it so it never should have been the only option. X1 will own uk and US now. The only way ps4 wins is if it gets a price cut which I doubt. And with x1 going worldwide in September I don't think it will trail to far behind the ps4 anymore. Maybe 10-20k a week after it releases in those countries. If Microsoft has a better e3 than sony this holiday could be really close. One thing is for sure..... The wii u is not looking good I doubt it will pass GameCube numbers.
