Does that change in price not matter because they came out with another model a month later? what part are you talking about? The part where people paid the same price later on but got more with their system? The part where the 60 gig model that people paid $600 for dropped to $500?
Look, we can do this dance all day, but I'm pretty much done with it. So I'll just say this. I don't see how you can even debate that early adopters (of any technology) don't get screwed. Technology improves over time. If you jumped in on the ps3 when it first came out, then you paid double the price of people who bought it two years later. For double the price, you got clunky looking system, that had less hard drive space, was less reliable, controllers didn't have rumble, less game library, etc. but you did get BC (although you could buy 3 ps2's with the money you saved by waiting two years).
I could say the same thing about early adopters for the 360. Same thing for early adopters of the iphone or ipad. Same thing for early adopters hd tv or 3d tv's. You pay more for inferior products by jumping in early. Some people don't care and just want to get their hands on the technology as soon as possible. Thats fine, I'm kind of that way, but I'm perfectly aware that I'm getting screwed in the deal.
I just don't see how you can't see that... Anyways, thats my two cents. good day sir!
