You implied you just ask your parents for money instead of getting a job. I asked why you don't go get a job. Any conclusions I've jumped to are conclusions that you've clearly led me to, young one.

Also, you should really go back and read the last line of my OP. We can talk about either, however. Why does Pokemon Y suck so bad? I haven't touched a mainline game since Sapphire, so I doubt I'll be let down.

Well, there's really not much of a reason for me to get a job. I'm quite the young Sophomore (being only 15) meaning I am just now getting my Permit, so I wouldn't have been able to get to a job anyway. My parents also don't mind me not getting one as long as I keep up my academics. You were assuming that I was a spoiled brat, which is not the case. I do not get every little thing I want.

------

Pokémon X/Y were relatively lackluster in world building, had a terrible enemy team, a small amount of new Pokémon, and were extremely easy. Pokémon isn't hard, but this was ridiculous. Also, I feel Mega Evolutions are very stupid in general. And that's a "big" new feature.

Ruby and Sapphire were my favorite, although I don't know how you felt about them. I would also like to mention that X/Y didn't really suck, they were just disappointing in the regards I mentioned. I would give them probably between a 7.8 and 8, which is on the low end for a Pokémon game for me.

Edit: I see your edit, and it's alright. I was half-expecting that to be thrown in my face. Heh. However, I don't remember ever talking with you... what do you mean by the last part?

Jumping to conclusions, I see. But yeah, that's what I mean. (Bolded.)

Anyhow, I think we are off-topic. And I doubt you want your thread to be more about what to do with money in high school than what to do about your 3DS.

EDIT: I was just joking about the spoiled brat part, you know. You should be used to me picking on you by now.

Pokemon X/Y is fantastic, don't listen to him. World building wasn't top notch but I wouldn't call it lackluster either, by any means. It established Europe as a place with Pokemon history, for starters. Enemy team was made up of exceptionally stupid people, but the leader was okay. The people were stupid because he was mostly just using them, in my opinion. Main game is easy, but there's plenty of challenges, and the competitive scene is more awesome than ever. Megas are fantastic, and add a lot to the metagame. I stopped playing after Ruby and Sapphire, and this gen brought me back, and I wasn't disappointed. I'd give X/Y between a 9 and a 9.5.

How much did you offer?

Bold: Yup, I know you're 15. I kind of led you into what I wanted you to say: child labor laws prevent you from legally joining the workforce. Which is why my nephew had to make me the proud new owner of a 3DS so he could get his Jordans. But it's probably best you don't remember our previous encounters. I had to have a long talk with Chris Hansen last time.

I highly doubt I'll be doing much on the competitive scene: EVs ruined it for me. I have no desire to farm the perfect mon with the right mix of IVs and personalities and grind/breed nonstop just to have a shot at being decent. I loved training at triple speed on Pokemon Stadium back in the day. They really need to bring that back in some manner.

I'd rather find six mon that I personally find interesting and go through the main game like that. But please tell me there's a battle tower like in R/S/E though. That's all the competition I need.

He threw out the original offer of $80-100. I gave him $100, and because everything is in good condition + (and this is a big plus for me) he kept all the registration codes for Club Nintendo and never used them, I'm going to give him an extra $20 soon.

By the way, I LOVE the Ogre Battle 64 avatar! I just got through playing that again for the first time in more than a decade! I'm going to download the SNES Ogre Battle eventually.

get it and give him 120... he is your nephew after all!

It would be an idea to not immediately register the 3ds code on the club Nintendo site if you didn't do so already. Every few months Nintendo runs promotions where they either give you a free game for registering a new system during a promo time or if you register a new system + a new game you get some older games. Just said I'd mention it since you said you like to be careful with dropping cash on your gaming habbit.

Regarding jokingly calling someone a brat, that aint nice even in a "fun" way, at least I wouldn't read it as a joke I mean. Maybe that's just me.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I'm about 110 points away from platinum status, so I'm definitely going to wait until after July to register the 3DS and games, at the very least. But thanks for the tip.

And regarding me calling N-Pie a brat, I and others have teased him in the past with no hard feelings either way. I wouldn't say it to some random user I never built a rapport with. I don't blame him for not remembering me since I'm not normally all that active. I told everyone that I'm an a-hole with polite moments.

Got it. I love the excitement of getting a brand new console. Makes me feel like a kid on Christmas day all over again. :)
