OK, you're a spoiled high school brat. Why don't you go get a job?

Jumping to conclusions, I see. But yeah, that's what I mean. (Bolded.)
Anyhow, I think we are off-topic. And I doubt you want your thread to be more about what to do with money in high school than what to do about your 3DS.

You implied you just ask your parents for money instead of getting a job. I asked why you don't go get a job. Any conclusions I've jumped to are conclusions that you've clearly led me to, young one.
Also, you should really go back and read the last line of my OP. We can talk about either, however. Why does Pokemon Y suck so bad? I haven't touched a mainline game since Sapphire, so I doubt I'll be let down.
EDIT: I was just joking about the spoiled brat part, you know. You should be used to me picking on you by now.

Pokemon X/Y is fantastic, don't listen to him. World building wasn't top notch but I wouldn't call it lackluster either, by any means. It established Europe as a place with Pokemon history, for starters. Enemy team was made up of exceptionally stupid people, but the leader was okay. The people were stupid because he was mostly just using them, in my opinion. Main game is easy, but there's plenty of challenges, and the competitive scene is more awesome than ever. Megas are fantastic, and add a lot to the metagame. I stopped playing after Ruby and Sapphire, and this gen brought me back, and I wasn't disappointed. I'd give X/Y between a 9 and a 9.5.

I highly doubt I'll be doing much on the competitive scene: EVs ruined it for me. I have no desire to farm the perfect mon with the right mix of IVs and personalities and grind/breed nonstop just to have a shot at being decent. I loved training at triple speed on Pokemon Stadium back in the day. They really need to bring that back in some manner.
I'd rather find six mon that I personally find interesting and go through the main game like that. But please tell me there's a battle tower like in R/S/E though. That's all the competition I need.
