What do you think will be left in or out or possibly added to these games?

I think the Safari Zone may get cut and replaced with Friend Safari. I thought for a moment they might keep the look but make it a Friend Safari but given how the Platinum Battle Frontier was copy-pasted to HG/SS, I doubt it sadly ;-;

I think routes may be extended/added. This is because the games routes would look very short in a 3D perspective vs. the previous 2D look

The PokeNav will probably be lost and replaced with the online function of X/Y

I'm debating whether or not Pokemon Contests will be a thing still or not..

What are your thoughts?

I have a feeling they will do something to all the water routes. Whether it will be making them shorter, easier, or just adding a larger variety of Pokemon (this is the option I'm most in favor for) I don't know. I just hope that even though its a R/S remake they still have Emeralds story like they did with HG/SS.

Also they better not fuck up R/S/E soundtrack, it's the best in the series.

Maybe Friend Safari.  Definitely routes. Pokenav will stay and just incorperate online functionality. Contests will stay.

The only real casualty will be... the Game Corner...

I hope they leave the water routes alone. I loved that. So many hours of fun! Agree on the Emerald story though, since Emerald was my first handheld Pokemon game. (Not because of young age. My parents just didn't believe in handhelds until the GBA) 

Same with the soundtrack. If even one track lacks the original TRUMPETSSSSS!!!!!!/BRASSSSSSSS!!!!!!, I'll flip. We'll know in a few hours though whether to be pissed or not.
