This is a lot of pages of certain people trying to smash the belief that X1 has great games, especially the notion that their games have more relevance then what the "competition" offers.

Even in victory, the 7th gen early insecurities still run deep.

To be fair, this all could've easily been avoided by the OP.  Hopefully it's just naievety thinking that you can just flippantly dismiss a console's game lineup and not get a big list war clusterfuck.

I mean if I made a thread about how I got a PS4 because of blank blank blank there'd be a few people that talked about why I shoulda gotten something else but it probably wouldn't totally devolve into that.

If on the other hand I make the same thread and then put in the comment "and all the Xone has is Halo....meh" then either I'm trying to get a rise out of people and start a big dumb list war or I have no idea how forums work.

And to add to this, the OP stats that the Ps4's games dont count because he has a gaming PC but lists games in the OP that are on the PC for reasons to buy the XB1 for. He also dismisses the quality of indies and then lists Peggle 2 as a reason to buy XB1 lol

So Sony pays Atlus, Bandai Namco, NIS and Xseed games to put their games on their platforms.

Answer the other guys post prove your point.

Why not?

Sometimes, companies choose which platform based on the fanbase. which is why Tales of series , which is why Persona 5 is on the Playstation side.

Why did this thread get so many replies? Its just one guy saying which line up he prefers

You have to read the thread to understand the hilariousness of the OP... Hint, just read my comment to torillian

Ni No Kuni wouldn't sell on 360.  Sony aren't paying for Persona 5 exclusivity either, nor have they been paying for exclusivity for the Tales series.

I don't know why Quantic Dream doesn't release on Xbox1.  Find me an article where it says Sony payed for exclusivity2.

1- They did on original Xbox.

2- I don't think you're naive enough to think Quantic Dream would give Sony free IPs. They're not 1st party.

Why not?  Developers decide to release their game on one platform all the time.  Sony haven't funded FFIV, Outlast, MLB, Bound by Flame but they are all on PS4 not X1.  There are probably examples the other way too

I'm sorry but Tales series and Persona makes me conclude that they're easily compensable by their sales record.

Only 3 tales game hit 1 million, which one of them was published by Nintendo. I don't think they're really geared towards West, so why put it on a console non-existent in Japan? There's your answer.

Persona? Same thing, and this one never hit a million sales a game.

Some of those games in the respective series never see a light of the day in the West.

Just wait until E3, I think Sony's E3 with project beast, Uncharted 4 and god knows if The last guardian and the last of us 2 will be better than Microsoft's

So you think Sony will announce Uncharted and LOU sequel in the same conference? Pick one. Most likely it is Uncharted. We also know about it. Surprises win E3's, not things we allready know.

That said, a Halo 5 video would more then cancel that out. Halo was always a bigger IP then Uncharted. It would be hilarious if people say Uncharted won Sonys E3 when everyone knows it ain't got the same impact as the next big Halo.

While I agree Halo is indeed a bigger IP and franchise than Uncharted we also already know about Halo and have had a preview video at the last E3 so it being at this E3 even with gameplay wouldn't be any different from Uncharted 4 being there with gameplay to be honest. The impact would pretty much be the same, that is just how much Uncharted has grown along with the reputuation of ND. While still not being as big as halo some UC4 gameplay would have the same impact as Halo 5 with gameplay.

I also agree that there is NO WAY in heck that Sony would show both Uncharted 4 AND TLOU sequel in the same conference that would be silly on their part and not a smart business move.

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

But is it worth their time putting it on the Xbox?

We all know the games are coming for all systems but we also know PS4 is not outselling Xbox One because of its games.

Sony on their own take a while to start hitting their stride with games, but when they do MS is in trouble. This gen is starting off no different than the 360 did on Microsofts part. Their dependence on outside companies will hurt them when the exclusives start drying up and first party begs to be expanded. This is exactly what happened to the 360 after the first three years. Microsoft cares about the first impresson, but when its all said and done and they amass a mountain of third party exclusives when the time to fend for themselves happens they are at a loss.

STAGE,I think you should publish a profile book of MS.

I guess all the internal studios formed lately and partnership MS have done will simply vanish because you have a crystal ball that no one has.

One of my greatest traits is the ability to grasp the past. Its a shame you cannot remember it.

The difference is Sony didn't publish those games.Sony does publish the Quantic Dream games.

Quantic Dream tried to pitch the Heavy Rain idea to MS for a 360 exclusive before they ever went to Sony and were turned away because of plot elements. They found a willing partner in Sony to fund the games they want to make. Of course those games would then be exclusive. They even announced an exclusive deal before Heavy Rain came out.

MLB, you mean the Sony game?

FFIV, did you know that Sony used to own shares in Square Enix until last month? Plus, MS didn't allow the game on their system, not SE.

Bound by Flame, please...
