Who on earth ever said that the manufacturing costs wouldn't go down? o.O

I can't recall names, but more than one user in a recent thread tried to argue that not only would Wii U's manufacturing costs not drop with time, but that they would actually increase. Some poppycock about only brand new tech drops in price, and only if it sells gangbusters.

Wat o.O That makes... literally no sense.

Breaking even is nice, if this guy is actually correct.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Zekkyou's response is a good indicator of just how absurd the "won't drop in price" BS is.

if you are going to argue at least understand the argument beig presented. Instead youare intentionally being disingenuous

But but but... the manufacturing will never get cheaper!!1!

Insert joke about can't sell at a loss if you aren't selling.

But on a more serious, less tongue in cheek note, who exactly was claiming production prices would never drop lower?, additionally, this is either going to mean nintendo cling to the current pricing to claw back some of the cash lost in taking a hit per sale, or theyre going to drop the price a little more, with the forcast theyve given for 2014 though it looks like theyre going to hold on to the current pricing.

Max King of the Wild. He even proposed, laughably, that production costs would go up over time.

What will your excuse be when Wii U does drop in price?
