There's absolutely nothing wrong with microtransactions in a free to play game.
That said, this is speculation, and it also has nothing to do with GT6.

I don't know if I should panic because a new GG game might include Microtransaction of some sort, or if I should be in awe because GG are actually hiring, I was sure Sony was only firing people nowadays.

I baught ps4 in that promise. But most of the people are now impatient. Gotta admit ps3 after 2008 was super awesome but pre 2008 era it was a disaster.

I hate to see when a level 1 player has more perks than me thanks to microtransactions.

AFAIR faster progress and special car deals with cars not unlockable via success but via $$ but I could be wrong.
I think in the end it was like "well, at least it's not so bad because Forza 5 is worse!".
