I was never trying to rid you of your opinion. I was just stating the fact that this issue is more a foreshadowing much like other pieces of news.

Oh I know you weren't trying to do that but we'll see. Like I said until a bigger, more hyped game gets cancelled this will pretty much be treated like an isolated circumstance.

The foreshadowing I speak of is going along the lines of more powerful and more demanding AAA games like the Witcher 3 and others coming soon causing the next gen consoles to chug. If Sony console chugs early then MS is definitely going to. I dont think MS can cancel them all and I doubt they would want to do that to their consumers anywyay, but they are in a rough spot right now and they will have to deal with it for an entire generation. Sony had to combat inferior multiplats with superior first party. MS will have to do the same this gen and first party out of the big three is actually Microsofts weakest point. What do you think?

Well it's not like multiplatform games are funded by Microsoft right? So the only way I see games being cancelled is if developers are consistently losing money in putting their games on the Xbox One. Even then I'm not sure because games like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are still coming to the Xbox One and they sold poorly, especially in comparison to the PS4.

As for Microsoft's first party, they usually sell well and until we get evidence to the contrary I'll say they'll be fine for the generation. The Xbox One is still the third fastest selling console of all time so it isn't like Microsoft is in any trouble for the immediate future. There's also the fact we have no idea what E3 will look like that will surely have huge impact on the big three for the next few years.

Yep ... (although I'm waiting to see if any other games follow)

This is the only important question. We need to see if other games follow.

I hope MS will fail at forcing parity between PS4/XO multiplats. That would be just so f*** low. They messed up, released a weaker console - it's their problem to make it more appealing. They can't be damaging the competition to make themselves look better.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

But still coming to Wii U? Kind of worrisome, even though it was not going to be a big game anyways.

and 3DS too.

I have a feeling this is stemming from the fact that they cannot outshine Sony with another major title. When COD came out they hid the fact that the game wasnt 720p resolution from the box. MS talks abot their parity clause and yet they let this game go. I think this definitely has something to do with the console power difference and the portability of different games..

Are you implying The Amazing Spider Man 2 is a major title or is this just more of your usual MS fud? Because lulz to either one.

Hell, Trials is a more "major title" than this and they were perfectly ok with letting it come out.

Also, can you list the Xbone games which MS has put the resolution on the box? Since they apparently specifically hid the CoD resolution.

Trials has won its place in the gaming community. No denying the greatness of that title, but MS is definitely having issues with developers with the Xbone.

Spiderman is going to be fine, theres no reason for anyone to shut down the game. I think Microsoft cant deal with the bad PR coming to their games. Everything is about PR to them. If they cant control perception its like they give up all together. I think their pride got in the way of their own parity clause.

As for COD, they did hide the resolution. I was with a bunch of friends at Target and wanted to confirm whether the rumors were true. It was true. Heh

Lets just act like 2 days before we found out about the delay people working on the game said the PS4 and Xbox One versions were both 1080p and 30FPS.

Also why the fuck is anyone saying they are worried? I am in aww at the way some peopel think on this board.

Dude....they've been talking about the Xbox ones issues with Spiderman for week or so now. One of the actors for the game was telling everyone to buy it and a lot of people last week said they couldnt because the Xbox One version wasnt coming in on time or at all. Companies get worried, they just dont publically state it. You can mostly tell by their actions whats going on. Microsoft works based off of perception, so if they arent percieved to be the best they kind of step off and rethink how next to reinvent their image.

Again...this isnt isn't even the biggest of AAA games. I would hate to see what would happen. It seems like the Xbone is now in the very same position the PS3 was in with multiplats now.

Again people working on the game said both were 1080p and 30FPS. 2 days after that the Xbox One version is delayed.  You or anyone else should not be allowed to try and pass off "hardware limitation" as the reason and Microsoft scrambling to get their PR together as the reason it happened.

Like I said the shit being posted in this thread is ridiculous. People saying this will start the string of delayed and canceled games. Like WTF

I call it bs

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

The validation for this is utterly ludicrous, desperate, and quite hilarious, if not embarrassing.
Not to mention, the cancellation isn't officially confirmed yet, so it could change at any time making a whole lot of people look foolish.

Looking at fans turn upon companies like Activision, accusing them of having poor quality control on a game they have never seen, so loyal to pieces of plastic, that they cannot fathom any other possible reasons for the game's purported cancellation.

Obviously, its not a marketshare issue or an anti-Microsoft bias. Perhaps, the issue is Legal, I find it unlikely that a major publisher could fail the XB1's parity and "quality" tests.

Doesn't matter if you personally don't want a game, a multiplat missing the XB1 for whatever reason cannot be spun as a good thing. In fact, is important because its so strange, it is such an outlier that it is probably a fluke. But understanding why it happened, will give you a better prediction of how your investment in the console will pan out.

If anything else, this is a sign that MS Xbox has not yet gotten its shit together. Its more likely that forced Kinect integration could delay the game causing a conflict with their meaningless parity clause. This is a MS issue not an Activision won, and if the XB1 has any dream of catching up in the US, they had better rectify it at once.

Cmon, Phil.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

People with Xbox Ones better hope to god that it isn't cancelled because of the parity clause. I doubt that was the reason though.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I'm not sure why Sony movie licensed games appear on nonsony platforms in the first place.

maybe its written in the contract when sony signed spiderman with marvel that any game should be released on as most platforms as possible?

Edit: also, this game would never move systems, its makes more sense to put it on more platforms, make a bit more money out of it then make it exclusive.
