Yeah exctly and if we are using shipping as an indication, surely we should use the shipping 5.1m vs 7m sold...  that would suggest that on the whole PS4 is selling above MS significantly...I dunno, it seems pretty easy to understand why people are concerned about the numbers, but there will always be one or two who argue the opposite.

The only reason i could see this week PS4 being lower than XBO would be stock issues, but I dont think there are massive issues with PS4 stock anymore that would give XBO any kind of significant lead. Taking into account that Sony has tradditionally sold better across the year (except for winter when Xbox would claw sales back)... the figures do not explain any reasoning. 

So I guess what I would like to see if this site would be taken seriously is like a chart track/NPD analysis of how they came to the numbers. i.e - Sony had shipment issues this week, leading to a drop in sales, while MS had a number of sales of their console. blah blah blah. But I can see why sites like neogaf dont like VG... but I like the site for general news and chit chat....

We have famitsu and MC for japan weekly. We have weekly UK sales and we have monthly NPD.

It just annoys me that so many people are coming in to this thread and just calling the numbers shit and wrong and insulting ioi after he has worked hard to provide them in the first place.

There are a few users who have questioned the numbers but have actually given reasons for their doubt, I just wish more people were like that. Rather than laughing them off and hurling around insults it would be nice if people actually give reasons why they think they should be different.

We don't need to have a 100 people repeating the same reasons over and over again. It should be obvious to anyone by now why people are displeased.

Displeased? I don't see how anyone can be displeased about the numbers. I'm more confused by them. I just don't see them as being logical considering what typical market behaviour would predict for this week.

i agree. people shouldnt use logic when commenting on these numbers. lets blindly follow what ever this site guesses even though every piece of evidence shows its wrong.

Acording to vgchartz, kinect sports rivals is a better system seller tan titanfall, if not, i can't find any other explanations as to why Xbox one is selling much better than ps4. I'm preparing myself for the over/under tracked when the next NPD comes out.

Yep.

Just like everyone else does here when the numbers suit them. 

Well, feel free to continue believing them then, we'll see the result come next NPD and if for some reason these US numbers do turn out to be right, then I'll be the first one to admit that I was wrong, cause I don't believe this or last weeks numbers one bit.

Based in that, can we all not disregar that ps4 is only beating the xbox one mostly because of it's price. They both were 349 pound for last 2 weeks and xbox one was at least 4 rank up ps4.. As soon xbox one went back to 389 it dropped.. This is to show you price is the most important issue .. 

No it doesn't.  It's certainly important, but this does not prove that it's the most important issue.
