What better game X1 has compared to PS4? The only talk I've been hearing about is Titanfall and even that game is on 360 and it runs nearly as well as the X1 version.

You could easily ask the other way round. Both consoles are underwhelming currently.

I think infamous second son, and FFXIV is justifiable. Considering the fact that the ps4 version of FFXIV is vastly superior to the ps3 version and can hold up equally with the PC version.

People are missing out an some awesome adventure I tell ya.

According to DF it can't keep up, especially when frame-rates hit 20 fps at times. If you think those 2 games are justifiable, fine. Others think that DR3 and Titanfall are enough to justify buying Xbone.

To me nothing looks interesting currently.

You cant be disappointed by both consoles, except if this is your first new generation.

except VIta and GC, no console did better in terms of games the first year

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

You are saying I can't be disappointed? Sorry to disappoint you but I am not disappointed at all but there is currently no reason to buy either console to me. I am not disappointed but why spend so much money when there is no game I want to play on it?

If you have a tonne of disposable income, why not?

I have both the X1 and the PS4. The X1 has better games right now (outside of indies), but frankly neither one is worth buying right now if money is tight.

Why, indies are not regular games? Some of the best games I have played in my life were indies.

So your argument is: "XB1 has better exclusive retail boxed games at launch?", seriously?

The true is that PS4 has better/more games at launch, right now and would have even more in the future. Since the launch the PS4 wins at quantity and quality (the best scored metacritic exclusive game is on PS4 with Resogun, truth fact) + free games choice.

But, yes, ok, XB1 has more retail exclusive games at launch you are right here, but not sure modern digital gamers really care about that.

My argument is as stated - unless you have a large amount of discretionary income, neither console is worth the price of admission right now.

As already outlined in this thread, Resogun is clearly a good game.  It is also not even close to utilising the extensive capabilities inherent in the hardware we all have to pay an awful lot of money for.  I am inclined to believe that outside of the kinds of people who frequent these forums, the vast majority of the greater than 150 million people who purchase pricey home consoles care very much about the sorts of high profile big-budget titles they can purchase for their system.

ie: My friend and Playstation fan at work.  He HAS PLAYSTATION PLUS and had the PS4 pre-ordered before it came out.  I have told him about this past weekend's Flash Sale, the free games he can download, the PS3 games, the sales.  He STILL hasn't downloaded a thing.  It just never crosses his mind, I guess.  And he's one of those guys that keeps going on about "That Xbox can't do 1080, though!"  I'll ask him if it's okay to give you guys his Playstation ID just so you know I'm not full of bullshit.

And of the several guys on my friends list with PS4s, only ONE of them even touched Resogun and it was for a very short amount of time.  That "Friends Activity" thingy on PS4 (and Xbox One) tells all.  The sad truth is that, while I'm playing Titanfall and looking for someone to play with, or while I'm playing Outlast, virtually all of my friends on both consoles are playing HULU Plus or Netflix.  Hell, most of my Wii U friends are doing the same.  And the vast majority of friends on all consoles are people I've met on gaming forums.

From experience, you're not missing much by skipping the 8th gen for now.  It's not where all of the excitement is.

"I mean, if you got a cat for one day, man - I mean, if you, say, say, maybe you want a cat for 365 days, right - You ain't got him for 365 days, you got him for one day, man. Well I tell you that one day, man, better be your life. Because, you know, you can say, oh man, you can cry about the other 364, man, but you're gonna lose that one day, man, and that's all you've got. You gotta call that love, man. That's what it is, man. If you got it today you don't want it tomorrow, man, 'cause you don't need it, 'cause as a matter of fact, as we discovered on the train, tomorrow never happens, man. It's all the same fucking day, man."

Was this a conversation on April 20th?  Either way, I like it.

BECAUSE PS4 IS THE BEST SYSTEM AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET, HELL YEAH.

you cant wait to await for greatness
