I've only played Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story. I haven't played them in a long time, so I can't really choose.

I'll get back to you on this after I play Super Star Saga and Dream Team! :L

I will easily go with Superstar Saga! Bowser's Insider Story was great and Partners in Time was a bit boring! Plus, I still haven't played Dream Team!

I've only played Partners in Time. I liked it a lot, but I never got around to playing the other games, although I'll probably download Superstar saga on Wii U soon.


What is it that makes Partners in Time get on the bottom of (pretty much) every list here?

Bowser's inside story is the best. I love the artstyle and pretty much everything else as well. I haven't played Dream Team yet, though..

Thread has already escalated with one person having Partners in Time above one game.

My order would be - Inside Story > Superstar=Dream Team > Hell > Partners

It's a very shitty game, at least compared to the other three. The babies are an issue and it gets annoying with having 4 characters, at least for me. Villains are horrible, probably the 2nd worst in the Mario RPG series, Shadow Queen from TTYD is the worst one. Enviroments are dull, with the only noteworthy being Groshi or whatever that part was. The game is also very closed, there is no openness in the game. Story is dull and the final battle just goes on and on. Music is horrible too.

It's definately a step down from Superstar and Bowser's improved on it in every single aspect and then some more.

PiT had those annoying memory sections as the babies.

I disliked that the special attacks became item based, but also the way it was implented was meh where Bowser's Inside Story did it better (glad Dream Team went back to non-item specials).

it was more linear and shorter than Super Star Saga and the music as a whole was meh (tho it still had its moments).

It in no way was a bad game, just a meh sequel.

Bowser's Inside Story had more of the charm of Super Star Saga and surpassed it in some areas.

With Dream Bros. everyone can agree its better than Partners in Time.  

I personally didn't care too much about the baby sections, but I really hated how linear it was compared to Superstar Saga which had many secrets/optional objectives and allowed you to openly explore! I really hate it when a sequel becomes much more linear compared to its predecessor! ( * cough* Sonic Adventure 2 * cough*)
