Forums - Nintendo - Will Watchdogs be the last chance for third parties on the Wii U?

Dunno, for me the real last chance was NFS:MWU.

If that game in someway managed to sell 100K FW, the whole picture of the last year would have been entirily different.

And remenber, a 1 year late port don't stop mass effect 1 to sell 300K on ps3.

But thats the thing that some of these guys would love to ignore. Multiple games came late to PS3 and they managed to do damn good. ME2, Bioshock, just to name a few. Sony has the audience for those games. Ninty doesnt really. No matter what people want to believe.

Third Partys never had a chance on Wii U!

That ship has sailed. WD will come because its invested. No other big games are coming. Wiiu is for nintendo. I still happy as I'm not buying anything else anyways. I can live off of nintendo only.

You forgot Project CARS.

A game build for high end PC, which console you think will get the best version will sale the most and has the most sim racer friendly fanbase.

Pcars is not a game any ninty fan should put any high hopes on.

And it looks like Project CARS is supporting project Morpheus.

Based on how CoD:Ghosts, AC4, and other recent games performed on Wii U...

Watchdogs has little chance of being a success on Wii U even if it launched on time.

it's a new franchise it has a better change of performing that COD and AC4.  This does not mean it will sell well compared to te other versions.

I took that into consideration. But who will primarily play Watchdogs? My guess is the same people that actually play 3rd party games on other platforms.

We will still get support from Sega and Capcom, also games like lego series, skylanders, Disney etc will continue. Im sure Ubi will still offer some support, Just Dance is a given and maybe anothe AC game.

More likely a look at multiplats over 3rd party support. Nintendo will have 3rd party support it's entire gen, that much I guarantee.

In a way I think it would be good if this was the Wii U's last multiplat. Having 3rd party games programed specific to a single console usually means solid performance and the best graphics the system can produce. I'd rather see games that push the Wii U like No More Heroes, Red Steel 2, The Last Story, or Epic Mickey (to name a few, let alone any first party games) did for the Wii.

I also loved the little revival of the arcade on rails shooter genre we got with House Of The Dead and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, hope to see another 1 or 2 of those this gen.

"Third parties" aren't some big conglomerate of game companies. They are all separate and make decisions separately.

So no, Watch Dogs is something Ubisoft is making. I also don't think it is a last "chance" since whatever they have been planning in terms of support is likely already in play.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

This chance was burnt long ago

To me, a fail would be anything below a million in sales for it. Assuming critics love it.

You can't be serious! It will be lucky to reach 50K...
