So a game only sells well if there is an official bragging notice from the parent company.

Good to know.

Ohhhhh come on now this is getting ridiculous, with the marketing camapaign behind it, you'd be sure EA or Ms would brag if it had crossed 1m within 24h which it didn't. Or even 2M within a week. They're fucked now, whetaver they'll announce below 2M will sound pale compared to I:SS which wasn't supposed to compete vs Titanfall for many people. The supposedly true next gen experience (Berfore anyone starts crying, I have it on PC, but it's nothing Next Gen worthy, the X360 version pretty much confirms it) fucking failed big times. The game is good, fucking good, but it wasn't what they were expecting it to be.

Never hype it beyong what it is.

Titanfall is doing great, but its catching flack for not achieving mega numbers.

The internet only celebrates FPS sales when its published by Sony. Refer to the mega hit Killzone:SF.

I don't know why you're comparing an action game with a shooter.

When the action game sells better than the shooter, its fair to compare.

When the shooter sells better than the action game, the shooter is still a failure compared to CoD.

These are the rules.

This kinda reminds me of back in december when some people would say the PS4 hadn't hit 3 million yet because Sony hadn't announced it, just for Sony to come out at the end of the year to announce 4.2 million.

In other words the lack of any word from MS doesn't have to mean anything.

It certainly sold well, but it doesn't seem to have sold as much as EA or MS had hoped.

I don't see how Amazon charts (at least in the US) mean anything. They were (and are) selling the Titanfall bundle at the full $500 price while Walmart, Bestbuy etc... had it for $450

Who would buy it on Amazon? Heck, even Target has the bundle now with 1 year gold for free.

You're wrong. Amazon is selling it for 450 since the others have too.

I'm I missing something?  http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Console-Titanfall-Bundle/dp/B00IIHU44E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1397390442&sr=8-2&keywords=xbox+one

Where on Amazon do you see it for $450? Unless you're talking about third party sellers which aren't really sold by Amazon.

A link? What do you mean? We've had multiple threads by multiple users predicting not only the game to do gangbusters, but the Xbone as well. If i begin posting links, this topic would turn into a mud slinging topic about how this and that user predicted or said this/that instead of a real discussion on the topic at hand.

Then PM me links to these threads. I want to know how far people were off of the ~1.45 Million units in 3 Weeks total that we have now.

And what exactly is the topic at hand here? All I could get from the OP was that a Forbes contributer is confused because nobody is bragging about Titanfall numbers.

I don't understand why you even bother, he is gonna link you users in the way of Johnlucas/avinash to back up his claim. which won't be representative at all

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

There will probably be a press release of Titanfall's sales number for NPD this upcoming week.

Like with other retailers, you have to go through to checkout to get the $50 off. Try it.
