In the UK & USA, ps4 is not outselling xbox one by that much weekly..i would not say they are "bad"..

ps4 is all over europe, xbox one is not.

"ps4 is all over europe, xbox one is not."

Do you think that is the XB1 was out "all over europe" that it would make much of a difference? I am asking because it just seems like the PS consoles sell better over there in general.

But I say the XB1 is not doing bad by any means. Better than the 360 at this same point at time and moving and selling faster than the Wii U(which even with more games AND a cheaper price can't outsell the PS4 or the XB1 which is crazy). So I am sure MS wants it to be selling better than it is but I do not think the XB1 is selling bad at all.....in UK and USA that is. When it releases WW in Sept we will get a clearer picture even though I do not think it will be a huge difference from what we are seeing now personally.

If being a couple hundred thousand behind PS4 in the US is 'depressing,' then why aren't PS4 owners depressed?

I am think more so it is because f the "dominace" that MS had in the US with the 360. Even though the sales are not "depressing" seeing it so close is just add when MS has been dominating the US market for the past what 7 or 8 years now. The drop off is just not what most expected in my opinion. Not that it means they XB1 is doing bad because it in fact is selling very well in the US and the UK. Just not as good as the PS4 but pretty close and at a very amazing pace.

Anyway it is far too early in the gen for all of this anyway so some people are just over reacting right now. It is normal. I say that everyone should just give things some time to level out and see what happens the remainder of the year then make a judgement.

in the US,.. xbone is doing about the same as 360 in it's first year. what that doesn't show though is 360 had like 6 years of YoY growth. if you look at playstation it has massive growth GenOverGen and i think MS knows that those sales are coming right out of MS's potential user base.

MS knows that have to keep pace with ps4 or when it comes to late gen buyers that tend to buy what their friends have MS won't see growth in years 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Xbox One in US alone has more HW sold than 360 WW at the same time. Also it took Wii U a year to get to 4 million. Xbox One did that in 4 months while being $200 more. Xbox One is not doomed. Its just not selling what the PS4 is selling.

As a PlayStation fan. I love seeing your enthusiasm. Spinning info to suit your ego. Shikamaru too. You guys are Xbox lovers from the cradle to the grave. I'm just interested to know what it will take for Sony and PlayStation to CRUSH your enthusiasm?

What does Shikamaru have to do with my post? As long as MS and Phil Spencer are supporting the Xbox One there's nothing Sony can do to "CRUSH" my enthusiasm. Did the Xbox 360 crush yours in the first year of PS3 sales?

The standards have changed this gen, last gen doing under 100k so early in the gen was ''OMG!!! teh doomz'' This gen it's ''beasting'', ''great'', ''solid''

I was gonna originally say this and note that "under 100k is d0med" was just a talking point from Xbox fans to undermine PS3. PS3 would sell about 93k a week (at one point) and 360 would be at like 120-125k. 93k is close to 100k, but 93k<100k so...."OMG IT's GONNA FAIL". But then PS fans would defend that and say that wasn't a bad number and it was close to 100k.

Fact is, it wasn't a great number, and 85k is worse than that. If PS3 kept selling 93k a week (or lower, at 85k), it wouldn't have sold anywhere near 81M consoles. It was 130-150k a week that was "beasting". We make fun of MS for "pulling a 180" but Xbox fans have done it along with them.

Judging by the reply you received above, you shouldn't have bothered.

We all know Xbox 360 dominated the UK/US last generation. Microsoft really did a great job, compared with the PS2 era. Now, in the new(current) generation, the domination changed.

Above you see the total hardware sells by platform. Perhaps, I'm about to over-react, hey it's still extremely early in the generation. I'm a  bit stunned by the huge deals Microsft is launching in their biggest markets.

So far, the Xbox One is performing pretty "depressing". Please, remember that I mean with depressing with the results so far. It can always change in the future.

Microsoft sold some pretty impressive amout of hardware. They really made a difference in the last console generation and gave Sony a "wake up" call. Success of the past doesn't give success for the future, never.

Who agrees that the Xbox is starting to perform pretty "depressing" in the US and UK. With the huge amout of marketing, deals, price cuts the Xbox One is getting (compared with the PS4).

I want honest opions. Do you agree or dis-agree?

Did you really just compare lifetime sales of 360 to X1? How about comparing same timeframe 360 to X1.

I would agree.  Especially considering this is the US/UK we are talking about here.  I mean come on if the X1 can't beat the PS4 even the 1 month it has its biggest game launch you know something is up.

I'm starting to think that how one ends a generation matters just as much as "How well" they did before (In terms of predicting futrue success).  I mean think about it:

-Wii loses nearly all third party support and practically stops releasing big games altogether -> Wii U underperforms

-360 stops releasing great games and falls behind in online services -> X1 underperforms

-PS3 never stops releasing exclusives nor stops improving playstation plus -> People trust Sony and buy a PS4

I mean you can come to the same conclusions by looking at the previous generational transitions as well...

I'm sorry you didn't get what I ment. What I ment is Microsoft dominated (US&UK) last generation. And in the current generation the Playstation is having a small lead in both countries. Where is the domination they had last generation? That's what I mean with "sales are bad".
