I don't see the problem here. Nintendo is trying to get you guys off the couch and go outside.

This. The Wii U was the first big step of their QOL push all along - weaning Nintendo gamers off video games.

Iwata is a genius.

Actually Wii was the first step in QOL push. Think of Wii U as temporary set back. We'll soon go back to singing and dancing to kpop.

OT: Seems alright, games like Xenosky would take a couple of months to get through. Also the mutiplayer aspect from MK8 & SSBU should help. Also seeing threads like this (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=181326&page=1). It really helps having some droughts. Lot of forum gamers are suffering playing the games they already have, imagine the situation is probably worse for noobs/casuals. For those people who say that they are waiting for some special game to come out to buy the console. Well, they'll keep on waiting.

February - DKC Tropical Freeze (already released)

May - Mario Kart 8

Summer - Hyrule Warriors (summer for Nintendo is july-august)

Winter* - Super Smash Bros U

2014 - X, Bayonetta 2

E3 at june could mean some more announcements like Yarn Yoshi and NFC games.

I can't handle all these games!

*Note: Winter =/= holidays. Holidays Nov-December. Winter can be from Nov to February.

So did you miss all the 3rd party of for a reason? As in watchdogs, project cars, abes oddesy etc

not to be debbie downer but the number of new games being released these days absolutely pales in comparison to the ps1/ps2 era.

not impressed, at all.

Let's wait until E3. Right now, the lineup seems laughably scarce, but that could change at E3. If it doesn't, yikes.

...that wouldn´t be a bad list if there would be more third party titles.

....yeah...

So hopefully not too far behind in the West.

Still, without a major push at E3 then the year is barren for Wii U, and prospects of it meeting the GameCube in lifetime sales become near impossible. May to Nov/December (alarmingly even early 2015) between the only two major sales drivers on the horizon is an awful drought, and it's embarrassing on the back of droughts that have set back almost every recent Nintendo system.

Even if Nintendo made a major reinforcement in their Wii U software development 12 months ago when the poor situation became clear, we aren't going to see the fruits of those labours until 2015. Nintendo need Bayonetta 2, X, Yoshi to release between Kart and Smash, and they need to have a good 2015 line up at E3.

Totally forgot One Piece: Unlimited World Red, Watch_Dogs, Spider-Man 2, transformers, How to train your dragon and so on .. dude .. that isn#t even the half of the list. Threads like these are the reason why people shit on the Wii U. Please inform yourself before opening a line up-thread.

Just realized Smash for Wii U is winter 2014, but gven the beginning of Winter i don`t think releasing it mere days before Christmas will actually happen.

I don`t believe X is coming this year. They have barely shown anything since E3, while B2 has had way more exposure and thus is releasing this summer in Japan and who knows when in the west.

I guess one NFC game will arrive in November. Then there`s that game that uses two gamepads.

Hope E3 is good for Wii U.
