You forgot all the 3rd party titles to tie in the big releases.

Like Watch_dogs and?

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, Sonic Boom!, Just Dance 2015, Call of Duty: Something, One Piece: Unlimited World RED, Skylanders: this year edition, and some others.

To be fair, that's not bad at all. The problem is not having third party...

However we do have:
Child of Light
Watch Dogs
Sonic Boon (TV series come this fall i heard, so i do believe this is possible)

Pretty good. Not confident that X will be 2014 though, have a feeling it might slip into next year

I think they will use that and Bayo2 to fill the gap between Hyrule Warriors and SSB.

Hope so.  Also wouldn't rule out a new game being revealed at E3 that releases this year also, like 3D World from last year

I'll love to eat crow and see Zelda HD trailer with a demo and a release date this holiday season. SSB can wait for february.

I'd be cool with that!

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Shigeru Miyamoto

That lineup is small and i have feeling two of those games will be delayed like smash bros and X

Started gaming on PS3 3/6/14 :)

*Note: Winter =/= holidays. Holidays Nov-December. Winter can be from Nov to February.

In this situation, winter is just the global equivalent of holidays. Unless a delay is announced, Smash is coming out at the end of this year.

OT: The lineup is full of great games but also has great droughts. Hopefully E3 has some announcements to fill these voids.

This is grim. Even the 3DO had a steadier stream of releases for its first couple of years. Even comparing it to the Dreamcast is an insult to the Dreamcast. There was a barrage of quality Dreamcast games for the two years it was on the market.

I can only see three possible outcomes:

1. Massive price cut that sparks consumer and developer interest (since this didn't work with the GameCube, even at $99, I don't see it working here as the Wii U has far fewer games than the GC).

2. The system is discontinued and Nintendo regroups and releases a successor in 2015.

3. The system is discontinued and Nintendo goes multiplatform on home consoles.

I don't see the problem here. Nintendo is trying to get you guys off the couch and go outside.

This. The Wii U was the first big step of their QOL push all along - weaning Nintendo gamers off video games.

Iwata is a genius.
