The critics have given almost every game so far this generation lower scores than they deserved.

Except Titanfall.  They scored that too high.

Have you played it?

based on his post, i'd say no since his XO is "broken"

That's why I was asking

He may have played "videos" of it.

Previous Kinect Sports scored the same.

This game is for parties and families. And will sell to those. Just like the last ones did.

How many people can play it "really at the same time"? 4? Can be fun while drunk.

Certainly is... used to have long sessions of Mario Party and Guitar Hero, would probably like KS as well.

Casual/Active gaming is never going away.

It's nice that consoles now can give you a variety of games and ways to play them. The more the better.

What??

I assume he meant Just Dance 4.

Yup, we had lots of fun even if they made me listen to a few 'bad songs.'

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Or more charitabley to critics, they are actually becomming more mature and discerning and using a wider range of scores so as to not concertina the score of good games above 85. I'm hoping, if the trend continues and the critics actually assess games more critically that 70 and above will be a green score.

In any case, it's clear that despite what individual opinions about this game are the metascore pretty much makes KSR not the killer app which suddenly makes Kinect an assest to Xb one's sales success rather than a liability.

It's doing better than Ryse and Knack, that's something I guess. The score is about the same as the other games in the series.

But it's doing worse than Wii Fit U!  Poor Kinect Sports Rivals..

I have no clue what is likely or not, I was just surprised as your latest prediction seems a lot lower than three days ago.

I'm especially surprised how you expect Kinect Sport Rivals to sell 4 million this year if you predict weekly sales of about 10k from the third week on. You seem to believe that the vast majority of sales will come from bundles - but why should Kinect Sport Rivals bundles sell like "hotcakes" if the retail version doesn't?

10k not including bundles. 40k with bundles

It almost seems like you're avoiding my questions:

  • Why are your current predictions so much lower than they were three days ago?
  • At 40k per week, how did you seriously expect it to sell 4 million copies in 2014? (Well, it seems that you already removed that prediction from the original thread, you probably already realized how ridiculous it was)
  • Why do you expect much more sales from bundles than from retail? I admit I have no fucking clue about the "usual" retail/bundle-ration, as I usually find these sales discussions to be downright boring. So maybe 3 three times more sales from bundles is a typical value, but I still found that number strange: A game with only 10k retail sales doesn't seem very popular to me. So why would Microsoft even bundle it? Don't they usually rather bundle very popular "platform seller" games, like Titanfall? If people are not interested in Kinect Sports Rivals as a retail game, why should a console bundle with it sell like hotcakes? I think I'd personally rather buy a Titanfall bundle or something...
