What DirectX 12 do is to split in a better way... DirectX 11 split the calls too.

multi-threading is still 50% more efficient than before though. (tested on 3D Mark)

seems like PCs are going to get more of a boost out of DX12 than X1. Awesome for my gaming PC =).
Lets hope it will be enough of a boost for X1 too, so that it decreases the gap between the ps4 further.

This is the most common mistakes from beginners...

Not only Xbone will get better software and development tools, also PS4 will get better and better year after year, like all consoles of all time; this is not the tomato special souce exclusive to MS.   The Gap will never get smaller.  PS4 has a superior hardware by a significant margin and this will never change. Both PS4 and Xbone will be better year by year, simply PS4 will always be better.  Deal with that, and let's enjoy the game experience.  Also, with PS4, 1st party devs will be able to go more close to the metal, so basicly I see the gap getting bigger, and not the opposite.

GDDR5 is not a cache. eSRAM is. to simplify it for you: its like an accelerator for the slow DDR3 ram.

its a complete different solution to GDDR5.

hardware architecture design is something we can not judge that easily.

X1 may be ~40% slower out of the box, but that´s due to its different architecture mostly. due to its eSRAM-DDR3 architecture, the X1 needs cache optimization to perform well unlike the PS4. the first set of X1 multiplat games definitely showed this. wait for the second row of games. the gap will decrease.

Theres no reason this guy would PR for MS. Hes obviously noticed a big difference firsthand. I d think x2 is exagerated, but PDZ - Halo 4 diference I can believe.
