Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft shows off potential power of the Cloud at BUILD

I guess the difference stems from someone also being a licensed developer who build cloud based applications and someone who is an armchair enthusiast.  I can show you my credentials and you can show me yours and we can start again without making assumptionns.

Go right ahead, you know where my PM inbox is.

Edit - Almost an hour later and no "creds" anywhere in sight, why am i not surprised.

What do you think, I live on VGChartz.  I am in Brazil teaching an API class.  Guess what, I have to go to work not sure about yourself.  Anyway I will check back in later and we can continue

If they are using the Cloud doesn't that essentially mean that they are actually using multiple machines to render just that some of them are off site servers? Cause I could have sworn he said they couldn't get that using multiple high end systems when that is basically exactly what using the cloud is. I'm so confused.

8:21pm here in Tokyo, giving a name via pm would take less time than making this post, i can do the checking myself.
But your flippancy tells me all i need to know.

if you were using the cloud that kind of mistake wouldn't have happened.

You talk the talk but I see nothing in my inbox as well.  What exactly is holding you from PM my inbox.  It goes both ways you do know that right.  It kind of interested me that you make a big deal but you have done nothing yourself.

Machiavellian and lucidium, take it to a pm. Thread doesnt need a pointless back and forth like that where nothing is coming from it.

The problem is, this is a prototype. Cloud power is legitimately going to be there, just not yet. I don't think this will be standard on the xbox one any time soon though. There are simply too many variables. If your connection slows down, part of the frame could be a quarter second of another part, which would be very disorienting. And there's also the matter that not everyone could use the cloud, so devs would still create game under the assumption that you're not using it. Plus this demo is set under ideal conditions, it won't always work that well, if ever. So the way I see it, they won't really be able to fully utilize the cloud they're talking about until they can get almost 0 latency from across the web.

Yeah, about that.

Don't offer if you're not going to follow through on your claims *sigh*

Care to act as a mediator and check out our credentials yourself?
Liar gets perma banned?, you willing to go through with that Machiavellian?

Wouldn't say no to a staffer being able to confirm for future use.

I do totally agree, it will be my last post on that part of the discussion.  I am more interested in the validity of the tech and discussions then developer cred.
