Forums - Sony - Sony’s E3 Press Conference Will Be a “Tight Fit,” Will Have a Decent Mix of Genres According to Sony Dev

One serious question.

Why are Sony going to show so many 3rd party games? COD, KH3, FF15 etc. Microsoft have already said they cant fit all their Exclusive stuff into their 90 min show. I thought generally speaking E3 conference was to show stuff you could ONLY get on PS/XB/Wiiu?

Also from the same site, MS will be sharing all there 3rd party stuff at E3 as well.

1. Despite the layoffs sony still has more quality AAA studios than microsoft has.

2. Microsoft has said, but we havent seen what actually they will show. And same applies for sony. You are shooting in the blind before anything has been announced.

Fair enough. Lets wait for E3 I guess. Hopefully forr us all niether company wastes time on 3rd party games. That wont bee good for reasons to buy a console.

People buy consoels for Third party games mroe then exclusives.

lulz, how many years running did MS highlight the next yearly installment of CoD?

I don't trust their definition of tight fit; they tend to show 20 minutes TOPS worth of games in a presentation that's two hours long. Only half of of that at best being over exclusives.

Despite the idea that they've been holding back all their exclusive 1st party announcements conference after conference and month after month simply because they've been doing so much better and can afford to keep Microsoft on the ropes, I genuinely expect them to have barely fucking anything compared to what they should have after all this time of holding back.

They're going to fucking blow it and the core is going to turn on them, I can just feel it. Ubisoft/Activision/EA multiplats out the ass and PSNow will probably take up half the conference by itself.

LOL, sony's studios are sitting there doing nothing? The sky is falling......... The core is not going to turn on them.

How much time will the Vita get in the press conference? More or less than the 1:23 minutes of last year?

Why would you ever think that? Never seen E3 before?

Vita will be mentioned in a graph that will appear on screen for <5 seconds.

Every E3 conference from Sony and Microsoft over the last 4 or 5 Years, as far as I can remember, have been filled with 3rd party content. EA, Ubisoft or Activision are usually always present at one of the PlayStation or Xbox conferences, even sometimes popping in to say "Hello!" at a Nintendo conference.

What they will be showing off from 3rd parties will be "exclusive" Indie titles and exclusive content for 3rd party titles.

I fully expect the Sony conference to feature Destiny, Assassin's Creed Unity, Metal Gear Solid 5 and Final Fantasy and/or Kingdom Hearts. On top of this, we are probably gonna see Hotline Miami 2, Minecraft and other Indie titles.

From Sony Im expecting to see Uncharted, The Order 1886, DriveClub and The Last Guardian. Additional reveals from Santa Monica, Media Molecule, Guerrilla Games and Polyphony Digital. SSM are rumored to be working on a new IP though I think its up in the air after layoffs. Media Molecule are probably working on LBP3. Guerrilla Games are working on a new IP, rumored to be an RPG. Polyphony Digital are probably working on GT7: Prologue. On top of all this, Im expecting to see Quantic Dreams PS4 game.

There will be plenty of exclusive stuff at E3, but dont expect a new generation of consoles to bring a new generation of E3. Its gonna be the same old shows - 3rd party pandering, 1st party surprises, lots of talk on sales and media features.
