Forums - Gaming - Making KH 1.5 and 2.5 HD as exclusives makes no sense

Catherine, for such a niche, new, strange take on japanese games sold great on 360. Half the Ps3 version, but that doesn't mean anything. It sold great whoever you want to put it. It sold great so that Atlus tried again with P4A on 360. That's a fact. Surely, it is not that important for Atlus blablabla. The thing is they did.

I care nothing for your arguement. Just wanted to point out

PERSONA 5 IS OURS BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!

Carry on with your arguement =P

then again, you can buy a ps platform to play those games.

At least, i can agree that exclusivity deals sux (but imho makes no sense for S-E to make a wii u version since KH3 will be only on ps4/one)

Its also a better game than Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey =P

The blue haired girl is a 360 owner, the scary as fuck older sister is a great JRPG for 360

So, you're saying I was right then? :D

No, you were Wright

You actually think Square would choose to only release on one platform? You have much to learn my friend.

I didn't suggest anything about the reason. I'm merely pointing that it's not a good move.

Yeah they should release it at least on 360 since they seem to hope to sell KH3 on Xbox One. Sure, it wouldn't sell gangbusters on 360 but probably enough to make a small profit with it and to increase KH3 sales which should be also their aim.

Not to forget that a big part of the KH fanbase seems to live in the USA, the country where 360 sold a lot and where some probably owned a PS2 and now a 360 so that fans of the PS2 version would by it now on 360.

So, at least an release on 360 in North America  should be obvious when they release KH3 on Xbox One.

This.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

It should be on 360 PERIOD, there's a lot of KH fans on Xbox and KH3 is coming to Xbox One, it makes perfect sense to port it.

You sure about that? KH is called "Final Fantasy + Disney", and is a multimillion selling series. On the big fanbase the 360 has, it only managed to sell just 2.9 million of all the FFXIII games (2 of which went to FFXIII). That's less than half of the original KH....across 3 games! And it's a flagship title! FFXIII series on PS3, however, sold 8.5M, and had a lower install base while reaching that number. Are you really telling me that the fans are on Xbox? I mean....Lost Odyssey, the game "created by the founder of Final Fantasy" and "shows that the Xbox is a very Japanese accessible console" was outsold by White Knight Chronicles that, while having Level-5 as the dev, was just an ok-ish game

Square Enix aren't doing well at all. So why would they spent money on ports on platforms that don't work well with JRPGs ?
Just think about it.
Especially if Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD has become a million seller on PS3. It's a pretty big number for a remake.

They'd get a lot more with a Wii U and 360 version.

This.

When was the last time a single Persona game sold more than one million?

Wow, Persona doesn't do good on Playstation consoles. They should put them on Nintendo's instead.

I think publishers and developers minds are as enclosured as Japanese isolationist lifestyle.
