If you want to play kh hd collections just get a ps3 and if you really do not want to miss out on KH3 get a x1 or ps4. It is just like the bayonetta thing. It was for x360 and ps3. It makes no sense for it to be on the wii u yet it is. I know nintendo funded it and there wouldn't be bayonetta 2. So just like nintendo fans and the developers tell bayonetta fans to buy a wii u to play bay2, I am telling you the same thing if you want these games get a ps3 and ps4 or x1 simple as that.

So, what I'm getting by this is that:

a) JRPGs sell better on Ps3.

b) JRPGs sell great on 360.

Are you serious? With the exception of FF13(the first one) i never saw one JRPG sell 1+million on xbox360(maybe Dark souls but that game is a WRPG made by japanese devs).If KH 1.5HD sold 1m on PS3,a 360 port would sell(in the best case scenario) 500K.

 

If you think 500k sales isn't good for an HD remaster, then you should join Square Enix and their predictions for Tomb Raiden, Hitman and Sleeping Dogs.

Ah, and check the list the other user posted here. JRPGs on 360 DO sell well.

Yeah, of course. Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns had massive sales on the 360. Like Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odissey, etc...

The only Japanese game that sold well on the 360 is Resident Evil 5. Seriously.


Blue Dragon is the fourth top selling exclusive JRPG of the seventh generation, only behind Tales of Xillia, Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls. Lost Odyssey is the fifth one.

Final Fantasy XIII pulled two million units. XIII-2 and Lightning Returns didn't, but still.

Catherine was profitable enough that Atlus put Persona 4 Arena on 360.

Deadly Premonition was a success, for what it was.

Dark Souls reached 850,000 units sold the other day, and it is still selling.

Okay, first of all: FF XIII pulled 2 millions, yes. Not even the half of the PS3 sales. And it went all the way down for XIII-2 ant Lightning Returns.

Catherine ? Really ? Yeah, because Persona 4: Arena was such a hit, and such an important game for Atlus. Almost as important as Persona Dance All Night.

Deadly Premonition ? And what is the TV show that inspired Deadly Premonition ? Twin Peaks. And wher did Twin Peaks have quite some success ? Just think about it.

Dark Souls was made by a Japanese studio all right. But it's a WRPG made by a Japanese Studio, seriously. And Dark Souls I/II sold twice as much on the PS3.

 

Also, Valkyria Chronicles, Tales of Xillia, and Demon's Souls are PS3 exclusives. And they are ALL million sellers. Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey ? Nope.

 

JRPGs aren't doing that well on the 360.

Yeah, as far as I can tell their thinking is "we've released a KH game on every platform known to man, maybe it's hard for our fans to play all our games. Let's release them all on a platform with no other KH games on!"

Anyway, I'm happy with I.5, great to chance to re-experience KH I and gives me a chance to try some other games I haven't been able to try (though I haven't yet). It would be nice to get it on Vita, especially given the great job they have done with putting FFX on it, but equally I don't want to break my X button

The Chain of Memories in the HD collection comes from the PS2 version of the game. 358/2 and Re:Coded were stripped of their gameplay and only appear as cutscenes in the collection. As far as DDD goes, while they may want to release an updated version of it because of its apparent ties to KH3, we don't know if they will. In conclusion, three of the four games in the collections are on the PS2 and the other playable game is from the PSP, all Sony platforms.
