Ain't going to happen.
Restructuring costs aren't going to dwindle down.
Furthermore, Sony is losing money on every PS4 hardware sale.

Sony is not making profit on hardware sales. Any profit from PS4 right now will come from the mandatory PS+ subs if you want online multiplayer.
It's not the system that makes Sony bankrupt.
Currently, Sony is on a dilemma. The mark-up price is too short despite having 5.8 Million sales. However, if they mark-up price is too high, Microsoft Xbox One would lead today. If Microsoft's mark-up of Xbox One is too short for them, that'll be alright. Microsoft is a rich company and they can handle that.
If Sony makes their price same as Xbox One, it is still Sony's loss but it's definitely not because of the system.

I believe Sony forecasted that number, already knowing it would be worst, but companies always lie to investors about the bad news.
Happy now?

I feel like this question had already been asked. But isn't it illegal to sell a product under its actual cost in a different country (which can dissuade weaken national product) ? This practice also known as Dumping is banned by the World Trade Organisation as far as I know.

Think it is. Meant to prevent loss leaders from choking out local businesses.
| ImmortalHelixFossil said: Sony told us that we could expect an 1,1 billion dollar loss. It's a few months later and the PS4 is beating all Sony's expectations. Do you think it's possible that the loss will be less than a billion? Or will it even be bigger?

It will probably be the same - and THAT IS A GOOD THING.
How stocks work is that companies need to guess right. Even if you do better than performed, you need to show that you understand the market perfectly and know how you will perform. Also if you can justify the loss and reason that it won't remain, then again - that is fine. If anything, a $1.1 B loss might bump up shares (yes, it is that weird at times).
