Lol @ denial of sony fanboys

No one in the thread is in denial, just posting hypotheticals on how the success of the PS4 could potentially change their loss forcast.  I believe the impact will be their in a positive way, others not so much.  You on the other hand are not adding anything.

Weren't there countless threads on this already? Even the article you link to was written in February.

But, this thread is about if there will be less loss after the huge PS success. So far I didn't find any thread with this kind of question.

Have you realized yet that an extra 2 million or whatever sold with low profit margins will do very little to dent that 1.1 billion Net loss?

PSN is not a low margin business, especially since they charged zero for the service last generation.  Also sony sold a lot of software with those consoles, 900k PS cameras (an accessory with higher margins) which tend to be the money makers for the system.  I would suggest having your own train of thought than trying to regurgitate something you cherry picked in the thread to try to prove a point.

The big problem with re-structuring is that initially you have to take a hit, then following years it turns around. So yes I expect it to be 1B and maybe more if they are restructuring more.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

while the PS4 itself wont change much, PS+ and online purchases could play a large roll. all 3 PSN cards have been on the top sellers on amazon consistently. More and more people are buying online(higher margin) and havent we heard PS+ has more than doubled?

Ofcourse its not going to erase a loss that large. on another note, has anyone been following the yen? I know its fluctuations before have played a big part in numbers, but i havent really been following it

as soon as MS stock comes down a little I will be buying some, but I am on the fence about sony stock. I may wait this one out a little while longer. Then again, I may jump in and get some while its cheap, because I know they are in the middle of reorganizing and that takes awhile and money.

Hmm, you should decide before Sony reports it's official financial year results. It's now or never, after the official quarter results we will know how Sony will be doing and the stock will automatic adjust. I already took the risk.

Once you entered you won't be the same anymore. A blog about life.

Maybe it's time to buy some sony stocks?

If Sony predicted this in February then they knew exactly how much PS4 would help or not.

We're talking about Sony here. If anything they will lose more money than forecasted.

lol I will remember this when the numbers are released. Don't let PS4 success cloud your judgement of the parent corporation.
