I am gonna be the realist here - Nintendo's games quality would plummet if they weren't necessary to compete with the entirety of the rest of the industry. Nintendo would be entirely sensible to "CoD" out Mario Kart if it weren't necessary for it to be world-bendingly good in order to sell consoles.

I do think they would be better on Wii U. More interesting controller for a start. No multiplat hassle. Plus no longer making games for their own system could negatively affect the dev's morale and passion.

Not only negatives; I did mention the graphics would be shinier. I just prioritise gameplay over graphics.

And you could have the exact same game as on the U as on PS4, but you could also have a game that uses all the advantages on PS4 that no way in hell would be possible on the U.

It would be the begining of a new ninty renaissance, a golden age far beyond what they have experienced ever before. 

No one wants nintendo hardware.  Look at sales it is true. 


Every Nintendo hardware is designed with Nintendo games on mind, and that hardware (Nintendo) makes best of Nintendo games. Sony/Microsoft design hardware with 3rd party on mind.

When you make your game for your system you have all time of the world needed to make great game, high quality game, vithout a bug, and the game that use best hardware. When you are 3rd party, or second party developer, you don't have that.

 

Sega anyone!?

Sega had best games and was strongest when they had its hardware, Sega today is only a shadow of that Sega.

Luckily Nintendo is not Sega, and even can afford few more consoles that will sell very bad before go Sega road.

I think they already focus on their games. I cant recall a time when Nintendo rushed a game out. Myamoto is completely opposed to that and you are obviously jumping to conclusions.

If you are saying they maybe be incompetant at making those games on better hardware its hard to argue that.

Unliek most id say they are good enough and know where to draw the line at getting hard for power and graphics that their gameplay would not suffer one bit.  While given the superiority of the hardware the game would be bigger better and of course more shinier less jaggier and plain old overall better.  And  would sale on a much bigger user base.

And i was half-wondering if i was wrong in banning you for that earlier comment. Then i read this one...

I disagree, too. Without the great hardware where is the innovation? Where are the games which are made for only this console? They wouldn't exist. Nintendo even had problems when they started to develop games in HD. They would need even longer for their games and it won't be the same. I think it is like something you really like and you like because you can only have it when there is something else you maybe don't like. Just as you need Nintendo hardware as you want to play Nintendo games. Maybe you don't want it anymore when you can have everytime and everywhere.

I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

a. Its not like the dev teams work on R&D for new consoles...also, putting their games on more consoles would slow down development times

b. Wii U bowser looks better in every way...I don't know what you are talking about

c. The only game you could argue that about (survival and whatnot) is the "New" series but that series is there because of demand and I don't think Nintendo would do anything different in that regard if they went 3rd party.

d. Nintendo's innovations with their consoles allow them to do new and interesting things with their games. That is part of what makes Nintendo games great in my opinion...
